While it remains uncertain whether filming for the sequel has commenced, Akindele has confirmed that a second part is in the works.

It is worth noting that Funke Akindele’s Omo Ghetto The Saga shattered the four-year box office record set by Kemi Adetiba, becoming the highest-grossing Nollywood movie of all time.
However, it has now been surpassed by Akindele’s latest film, Battle on Buka Street.
The movie Battle on Buka Street grossed 640-million-naira, surpassing Omo Ghetto The Saga’s 636 million naira. Akindele’s ability to break her own records in the Nigerian film industry is commendable.
