Friend’s girlfriend murdered a college student on a party boat in Texas

Grizzly details of the terrible day have been disclosed by a Texas college student who was aboard the party boat when her 19-year-old buddy reportedly had his girlfriend push him to death.

Carly Martin (pictured), was onboard the boat the day Jack Elliott was allegedly shoved overboard before hitting a propeller and drowning in the water at around 8.30 pm in October 2019

With 11 other students, Carly Martin, now 21 years old, was having fun on the 22-foot party boat when Jack Elliott was “shoved off” by his “fling,” Delaney Brennan, and plummeted to his death in Travis Lake, northwest of Austin.

Around 8.30 p.m. in October 2019, Jack, 19, and Delaney were kissing and flirting when she gave him a “playful nudge” that sent him overboard, where he later drowned after colliding with a propeller.

Carly revealed the horrifying event in an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com as the adolescents dipped in and out of the water aboard a fellow Texas Christian University student’s family boat after a long day of “drinking, partying, and dancing.”

As soon as the passengers began fabricating stories about the fatalities, which led to their being charged with crimes, Carly divulged the awful facts of the harrowing experience.

She asserts that “everyone” there on the fatal evening knew that Delaney had shoved Jack, with whom she had been flirting, and she finds it “amazing” that they maintained the deception for so long.

About an hour and a half after nightfall, Carly was standing between the driver and the passenger seat, staring out toward the passenger seat, when she suddenly felt movement under her feet.

Oh my my, what did we hit, she remembered yelling.

The boat’s owner and expedition leader Carson Neel reportedly replied, “Oh my god, I believe we just struck Jack!”

Carly remembered the commotion that erupted and Delaney’s repeated declarations that “I didn’t intend to shove him!” “Everyone was in shock,” she claimed.

Delaney subsequently commented on social media about the event, saying: “I’m still screwed up from this and my parents are here with me now, but we don’t know anything yet.” I only feel guilty.

I don’t believe I have ever felt this depressed, and.

The last person to touch him was me.

Carly, in contrast, thinks that Delaney lied in her post when she maintained that she was unaware of Jack’s fate.

Everyone was aware that she had done so, according to Carly.

These youngsters had several opportunities to be honest, but none of them did.

It is astounding that they continued to choose to lie.

The adolescent passengers swiftly held flashlights face into the ocean as mayhem broke out on the boat while Carson went to inspect the propellers, Carly remembered.

As the students tried to plan their next actions, one of the male passengers immediately assumed the position of “ringleader” and began formulating a lie, Carly told DailyMail.com.

For Jack’s devastated family, the stories they made up while hiding the reality about how he got up beneath the boat, began years of suffering and agony.

“He was really the one attempting to cover everything up and making sure that this did not come out,” Carly claimed in reference to the “ringleader.”

Two days later, a portion of the group met in a hotel room in Fort Worth, Texas, close to Dallas, where the teenagers spoke with Jack’s distraught parents who were at their California home.

The meeting, according to Carly, was attended, but she immediately fled before the other youngsters phoned the Elliott family.

According to the OC Register, Elle Weber, who was also there at the incident, performed much of the speaking. She apologised on behalf of the group for both the loss of their kid and “all the tales you’ve heard.”

Eleven of the passengers on the boat scrambled to think about what to do next after Jack fell into the ocean. The passengers aimed flashlights to the water in attempt to find him near the surface

Carly said that she attempted to return to school in the days and weeks after Jack’s accident, much like the other people who mostly shared a dorm room at TCU.

But she asserts that everyone else merely carried on with their lives as if nothing had occurred, whereas her life halted because of the pain she felt after losing her dear buddy.

Carly said, “I simply recall everyone going about their lives as usual, it was if nothing had occurred.”

“For me, I recall being within a hole and just watching the world go by like I can’t do anything, so I just had a major mental breakdown and I ultimately left for that semester.”

Carly ultimately decided to stop attending school and move back to Chicago, where she was born.

After discreetly travelling to Jack’s parents’ house in Orange County, California, to inform them of the truth about what had happened to their son, she lost touch with her TCU friends.

I was extremely afraid that they would attempt to f*** me over and make me look like a liar when I was speaking the truth since it truly was 10 against 1. she said.

I quit school for the same reason, which is that I was honestly afraid, said Carly.

The Elliott family was still in “shock” at their son’s passing when Carly met with them in December 2019, but she said they were aware of other details about the night that the 12 students were withholding.

Since the night he passed away, “they sensed there was more to the tale,” Carly added.

They were the best at knowing their kid since Jack was not a careless man.

“So I believe that ever since then, there has been a sort of struggle for truth and justice.

Since that evening, they haven’t really stopped battling for their kid and the truth.

According to Carly, Jack was regarded as a “really brilliant and likeable” student who got along with everyone.

She recalled the 19-year-friendship old’s as being comparable to a sibling-like relationship and expressed her happiness for the young woman, whose corpse was not discovered for 10 days after falling from the party boat.

Nearly three years after Jack’s death, five Texas college students are now being investigated for tampering with evidence and spreading false information about the boat party event. They are being charged with crimes.

The teenagers who were aboard the boat made an effort to hide the fact by telling lies to authorities, acting ignorant around Jack’s family, and throwing their liquor bottles over the side of the boat.

The real details weren’t made public until a wrongful death lawsuit brought by Elliot’s distraught family in 2020.

Delaney and Jack were in the front of the boat, flirting and kissing, according to Elle, another youngster aboard the boat, who testified under oath in the lawsuit.

Jack fell from the boat after receiving a “playful little nudge” from her.

Later, Elle acknowledged she hadn’t given the police the whole story. I was terrified and shocked by what happened, she admitted.

“I wish it never occurred, and I wish I had told police everything the first time,” the person said.

Another youngster claimed to have panicked in an affidavit. Delaney repeatedly said, “He fell! After the trauma, I meant to push him, I said.

Since his father Billy operated the Northshore Marina, Carson was reportedly in command of the boat. In a signed declaration, Carson stated: “A lot of people were freaking out, weeping, and not communicating effectively.”

Because I knew it was serious and that freaking out would make things worse, I attempted to maintain as much composure as I could.

Jack was nowhere to be seen when Carson turned the boat around and travelled in the direction he thought he could have fallen overboard.

Fashion student Delaney, now 21 years old, claimed in her own deposition that she received a tattoo of Jack’s initials on her wrist after the tragedy to commemorate how much “he loved life.”

I did it so that I would always have something to remember him by, she remarked.

“When I glanced down, I wanted to remember how much he loved life. It kind of served as a reminder to always live life to the fullest and to essentially do everything in life to live up to what he would have done.”

Following Jack’s passing in November 2019, Delaney shared a black and white photo of the couple leaning into one another while she grips his arm and he holds a drink in a tin can.

After the incident, Carson recalled Jack and his “crazy dance moves” in a social media tribute post.

You may go from enjoying the fun of your life to mourning the death of a close friend, he said.

Don’t think it will ever feel right without you here, man, he continued. While I would have preferred to be nearer to you, God has other plans.

The lawsuit, which Elliott’s family filed in an effort to elicit concrete responses from the teenagers, was resolved informally and secretly.

Despite this, the teenagers ran into trouble once more in late 2021.

A Travis County grand jury determined that those involved should face criminal charges, especially in light of any potential cover-up.

Following intervention from the legal system, students Anthony Salazar and Josh Evans, as well as Delaney, Elle, and Carson, are now being charged with crimes.

Delaney Brennan was charged with felony evidence tampering after she allegedly helped remove a cellphone video.

She might spend up to 10 years behind bars and pay a $10,000 fine.

On August 17, she will show up for a preliminary hearing at the Travis County Criminal Court.

When contacted by DailyMail.com about the matter, Delaney’s lawyer refused to comment.

Because of the suspected alcohol overboard, Carson Neel was additionally charged with criminal tampering with physical evidence.

Carson, like Delaney, may spend up to 10 years in prison and pay a $10,000 fine.

On August 2, Carson appeared before the Travis County Criminal Courts.

A misdemeanour charge of providing false information to a police officer has been brought against Elle Weber. On August 16, she is scheduled to appear in court.

Josh Evans, a resident of Aliso Viejo, was charged with a misdemeanour for providing alcohol to a child. Evans made a court appearance on August 7.

Anthony Salazar was charged with perjury, a misdemeanour, in the indictment. On August 2, he made a court appearance.

The first call to the police, informing them that the students had been unable to locate their friend, appears to have signalled the start of the timeline’s inconsistencies and the night Jack fell to his death.

When calling 911, Elle identified herself to the authorities as “Elle Macpherson.”

Later, she claimed in a sworn deposition that she was unaware that the name she provided belonged to a well-known supermodel and actress.

The group allegedly dumped their alcohol bottles, including beers, White Claws, and vodka, in the water as they sailed back to land.

According to police reports, after Jack vanished, “the teens hatched a plan to hide the truth from authorities and even Jack’s family in Newport Beach.”

The group convinced a fellow student, Anthony Salazar, who had not been drinking because he was feeling sick, to claim that he had been in charge of the boat that day even though Carson and Elle Weber had been.

A report detailing what they believe actually happened was submitted by Ben Echelson, a Texas Parks and Wildlife game warden, two months after the incident, in December 2019.

Delaney Brennan propelled Jack Elliott from the front of a wakeboard boat. operated by Elle Weber under Carson Neel’s direction.

“Jack Elliott was murdered after being repeatedly hit by the propeller… On board booze was dumped overboard.

False information was given to the responding police officers about what happened before the push and how Jack Elliott fell into the water.

For an additional 10 days, rescue workers had to search for Jack’s body before discovering it more than 100 feet below the surface.
