Five-year-old boy dies in  parents’ hands days after choking on a notice board pin

On Saturday, the family of a South Yorkshire child who choked to death after eating a notice board pin paid their respects.

Kyle Lewis perished after three days of combat, with his parents bidding him farewell in Rotherham General only six days after his fifth birthday.

“He drew his last breath as we were holding him,” the family said in a private message, adding that they are “beyond crushed.”

A scan revealed that between 90 and 95% of Kyle’s brain had been injured after he ingested the pin, resulting in repeated convulsions and an increase in temperature.

Kyle’s mother, Emma Lewis, stated, “I cannot even express how I feel.” I’m broken beyond words. It does not feel genuine. I do not want it to be realistic. They kept him on life support until we were prepared to bid him farewell.

‘But you’re never ready are you?’

Kyle’s mother appreciated the hospital staff for allowing her and his father to be present for his final breaths.

Mrs Lewis, according to The Star, said: ‘After that burial, I can’t go comfort him anymore. I would visit the chapel two or three times every week when he was there.

I would raise him to the bed and then sleep with him while conversing. It has ruined me. People encourage me to be strong, but it is not that simple. I’ve lost my boyfriend and cannot think of anything else at the moment.

It’s as though I don’t know how to mourn. I don’t know how to feel, I don’t know what to think, I don’t know how to act. I feel like a robot. Although it devastated my heart, he is still my son.

The GoFundMe, which has raised £1,155 out of a target of £4,000, stated: ‘To make things a bit easier, a handful of us decided to set this up to help give him the best possible send-off. No parent should have to struggle to find the money to bury their kid.’

A fundraiser has been established to assist a South Yorkshire family in mourning their five-year-old son, who passed away last month.

Mrs. Lewis from Swallownest told The Star, “He was an exact replica of his father.” Very cunning and sly at the same time. His favorite expression was “that wasn’t me.” He loves dinosaurs. We have stated that instead of developing angel wings, he has developed dinosaur wings.

“(For the burial), we each have a personalized T-shirt with a photo of him and a blue love heart. On the back it has a picture of a t rex and ‘Kyle-saurus’ written on it.’

Every T-shirt at Kyle’s funeral had a statement he frequently spoke.

The family has built a monument, which includes a banner given to them by the hospital in Leeds and displayed on their home’s banister.
