A man in his 50s was fatally stabbed in Castle Bromwich, West Midlands, after the car he was travelling in was rammed by another vehicle and attacked by a gang.

The man died at the scene following the attack.

Police were called to Chester Road at around 8.15 pm yesterday following reports of a stabbing.

It is believed that the victim had been travelling in a car that was rammed by another vehicle before he was attacked by several people who fled the scene.

A black Ford Fiesta was damaged after crashing into railings near a pedestrian crossing, and a red Ford Focus, a black Vauxhall Corsa, and a Jeep were also abandoned at the scene.

Police have cordoned off the area as they carry out a murder investigation.
