Renée Zellweger traveled along on boyfriend Ant Anstead’s trip to the United Kingdom with his 3-year-old son, Hudson, as a result of her bold accessory choice.
Tuesday, Anstead posted a snapshot to Instagram of his toddler holding a cricket bat, but the image’s focus was on the background.
“It is merely my parental responsibility to teach Hudzo British sports….CRICKET,” Anstead, a native of England, captioned the post, adding, “‘Dad, it’s like baseball….’”
Internet detectives were quick to note that Zellweger appeared to be standing behind Hudson while wearing her orange University of Texas baseball cap.
Fans suspected that the “Thing About Pam” actress, 53, traveled across the pond to meet the family of her 43-year-old beau.
“Renée meeting the family,” wrote one ecstatic fan on the post.
Another cheekily remarked, “Woohoo, I see the ENTIRE family is there, how lovely xx.”
Zellweger was also visible in a number of Instagram images and videos from Anstead’s trip with Hudson and his two elder children, Amelie, 19, and Archie, 16 years old, whom he shares with ex-wife Louise.
Anstead panned across the wooded terrain to demonstrate his nature excursion. However, the little clip quickly focuses on the “Judy” actress, who was again wearing her favored orange hat while accompanying the hikers.
“Renée for the Holidays is the winner!! Always recognize that cap!” a netizen remarked in the post’s comments section.
“Hudzo and I spent Christmas morning on a sandy beach in Laguna and the rest of the day flying to the United Kingdom!” His first trip ever outside of the United States,” he wrote, adding, “Which instantly prompted us to get warm for a muddy boots woods walk with @amelieanstead & @archoanstead the perfect week x.”
While he did not explicitly acknowledge Zellweger, he has been making subtle references to their relationship on social media for months.
The Christmas decorations of Anstead suggested that he would spend the holidays with his partner.
Anstead uploaded a photo of his Christmas tree decorated with British and Norwegian flags in December. The decorations appeared to be a reference to Zellweger, whose mother is Norwegian.
And during the Thanksgiving holiday, Anstead intimated that he and Zellweger were in Arizona together.
“What a lovely couple of days for a romantic Thanksgiving switch-off adventure! We arrived in Sedona, a magnificent location that I cannot highly enough! “So much for which to be grateful,” he stated in the message.
He did not include any images of his girlfriend in the post, but when a follower inquired, “Do you have any photos of you and your romantic partner together?” he replied, “No.” The response of Anstead was “so many.”
The connection between Anstead and Zellweger became public knowledge in June 2021, just days after his divorce from Hudson’s mother, Christina Haack, whom he had been married to for only two years.
In August of that year, the couple, who met on the set of “Celebrity IOU: Joyride,” became Instagram official.
