Family of dead baby Alonzo celebrates his ‘heavenly’ first birthday

The sister of Asherey Ryan, who was murdered in a violent Los Angeles collision, posted tragic photographs of Ryan and celebrated the first birthday of Ryan’s infant son Alonzo, who was also killed in the collision.

Sha’seana Kerr posted the photographs to Instagram on Wednesday and referred to Alonzo as her ‘angel in heaven’ with a photo of Alonzo and her son, Omari. Kerr uploaded videos of the two sisters dancing with their sons and wrote, “we accomplished everything together with our guys.”

She referred to her deceased sister as her “first best friend in life” and to Alonzo as her son’s “first best buddy in life,” stating that they will “always be with us wherever we go.”

Kerr was compelled to post about Alonzo’s ‘heavenly first birthday’ after ICU nurse Nicole L. Linton carelessly drove across an intersection on August 4 and caused a fiery collision that claimed the lives of six people.

Ryan, 23 years old and eight months pregnant at the time of her death, was in the car with Alonzo and Reynold Lester, both of whom perished in the incident.

Two additional girls were also killed, although their identities remain unknown. Injuries to eight others were sustained in the collision.

Asherey, Reynold, and Alonzo were driving to a doctor’s appointment for a prenatal checkup when Linton collided with the car they were in.

Linton appeared in court last week, where he was charged with six counts of murder and five counts of vehicular manslaughter, which if convicted, could result in a sentence of 90 years in jail.

According to her attorney, Linton, who wept in court as the judge spoke, had been involved in 13 previous crashes and suffers from “deep” mental health concerns.

She was released from the hospital and is currently being jailed on a $9 million bond at the Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood, California.

During a press conference last week, LA County District Attorney George Gascón stated there was no proof that Linton was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision. Tabia Johnson, a witness to the collision, captured a photograph of Linton seated on a nearby sidewalk with the smoldering debris visible in the backdrop.

Johnson, who criticized the woman’s driving, stated that Linton looked to have sustained just minor injuries, such as bleeding near the head.

The ICU nurse cooperated with investigators, including a blood test to determine whether she was impaired at the time of the deadly collision.

Stunning footage of the accident depicts vehicles careening across the roadway, exploding into flames, and coming to rest in a mangled heap within feet from rows of highly flammable pumps.

The gruesome deadly collision occurred between South La Brea Avenue and Slauson Avenue on Thursday about 1:40 p.m.

After analyzing videos of the collision, Sha’seana stated, “We’re searching for legal representation because this makes no sense.”

Alonzo’s father, Luis Fernando Quintero, posted online, “I don’t have any words rn I’m too much in pain because this is something I never expected and no one else did I’m going to miss you both and I didn’t get to say goodbye or make up for time lost with you Alonzo my heart is aching may y’all rest in peace god has gained two incredible angels.”

The family has launched a GoFundMe page to assist with funeral expenses in the wake of the tragic event.

Witness Veronica Esquival stated that she was pumping gas at the time of the dreadful collision, which was caused by the lone female vehicle.

She stated that a toddler sadly fell to the floor in the center of the petrol station before startled employees attempted CPR.

“One of the workers noticed me holding the infant and removed it from my arms.” Someone attempted to revive the infant, but it was too late,’ she added.

After firefighters extinguished the enormous flames generated by the collision, it appeared as if the entire crossroads was engulfed in flames, as depicted in the harrowing photographs.

The frightening clip, captured from a gas station with a view of the action, begins with the Mercedes coupe racing past the gas pumps at a breakneck speed.

The unfortunate vehicle fails to stop as it barrels toward two-way traffic at a congested junction.

It smacks into the first automobile, causing it to explode into a flame before smashing through many more that spin from the impact. The collision sends everyone careening into the petrol station across the intersection, where they finally come to rest in a crumpled heap.

The traffic jam drew to a halt right before the second petrol station over the road, which is an architectural landmark.
