Family mourns the death of son, 39

As murder investigators question a 34-year-old lady, tributes have flooded in for a ‘handsome and compassionate’ man who was stabbed to death at a property near Pontypridd, South Wales.

Steven John Davies, 39, was discovered dead by a neighbor on Garth Avenue in Glyncoch just after 11 a.m. on Wednesday.

Following his terrible death this week, his bereaved family members have paid homage to the ‘funny and compassionate’ man.

According to a post-mortem conducted on Thursday, Steven, also known as Stevie, died of a knife wound.

A woman, 34, has also been detained on suspicion of murder, according to police.

The murder suspect, who is from the Pontypridd region, is still being investigated.

‘My lovely, hilarious, loving, kind brother has cruelly gotten his angel wings,’ Adrianne, Steven’s saddened sister, wrote in homage.

‘I love you Steven, I can’t believe I’m writing this, and to say I’m upset is an understatement.

‘I love you brother, I can’t believe this is happening. I just want you to call so we can hear your voice and this nightmare will be ended.’

‘It is with tremendous grief and heartbreak that I deliver this tragic news,’ Michele, who is Steven’s sister, wrote. My brother Stevie Hagi Davies has received his angel wings, and I can’t believe it.

‘I’ll never hear you say you love me or refer to me as big sis or flower again.’ Never forgotten, always adored. ‘At the very least, you’re with your father now, little bro.’

‘I can’t believe I’m doing this,’ said a third family member. I can’t believe you’re no longer among us.

‘Nearly every letter I’ve received says we were like brothers growing up, not cousins, and that’s exactly right; we were like brothers. Like my brother Stevie Hagi Davies, I will always love you.

‘I miss your unexpected texts telling me how much you love me and us discussing about your father’s memories.’ ‘Rest In Peace,’ she said.

According to authorities, Steven’s family has been told of the tragedy and is being helped by highly trained officials.

Officers want to talk to anyone who has information regarding Steven’s whereabouts in the previous two weeks.

‘This is undoubtedly a disturbing and sad occurrence for the community of Glyncoch and the wider Pontypridd region,’ said Senior Investigating Officer Detective Chief Inspector Mark Lewis.

‘At this terrible time, our sympathies are with Steven’s family and friends.’

‘While the fact that we were able to make an early arrest is a welcome step, I am still appealing for information about Steven’s movements between the 1st and 15th of June.’

‘We suspect Steven spent time in Pontypridd’s Rhydfelin region.’
