Explorers Discover Classic Car Graveyard Filled with Hundreds of Abandoned Vehicles

A pair of urban explorers stumbled upon a car graveyard filled with hundreds of classic cars that have been abandoned and reclaimed by the earth.

Matt, a full-time YouTuber from Sheffield, and Andy, a YouTuber from Doncaster, journeyed to the secretive location in Suffolk after originally planning to explore an abandoned house.

They documented their incredible findings on their YouTube channel, FindersBeepers, showcasing the nostalgia around old cars that brought back strong memories from viewers’ childhoods.

The car graveyard contained a range of classic cars, including a Jowett Javelin, Ford Prefect, Ford Model T, Morris van, Austin A40, Reliant scimitar, Bentley S2, Morris Traveller, MGB gt, Vauxhall senator, Dutton Phaeton, Land Rover Defender, Wolseley 15/60, Talbot sunbeam, and Riley elf.

The pair were keen to document the cars before they were lost to decay, with some of the vehicles worth hundreds of thousands of pounds, even if only for parts.

The backstory of the abandoned location remains unclear, and while the pair usually research as they go, they were unable to find much information about this particular site.

In a similar discovery, an urban explorer found a mystery classic car collection thirty miles from Edinburgh, Scotland, containing British classics such as Jaguars and Austins, which were collected by an unknown Jaguar enthusiast.

In another find, a mountain of abandoned cars from the 1970s was discovered 200ft below ground in an abandoned slate mine in Ceredigion, Wales.

Up to 100 cars in various conditions were found cascading down the inside of the cave, which closed in 1960.

IT Engineer Gregory Rivolet explored the mine, making a treacherous journey through darkness and dangerous conditions to reach the car graveyard.
