Emily in Paris Season 3 Finale Explanation: With Whom Does Emily End Up?

As with any outstanding episode of Emily in Paris, the climax begins with breathtaking images of the city. Emily delights upon learning that Gabriel called his new and improved restaurant L’Esprit de Gigi, in honor of his grandmother. She approaches him to offer her congratulations, and he invites her inside to meet his grandmother, who helped him prepare food for the opening.

Emily and Gigi’s grandmother form an instant bond, but it becomes evident that Gigi dislikes Camille. Camille reminds Gabriel that the restaurant will be closed on Saturday night due to her parents’ engagement party. Gabriel emphasizes the importance of the first week of the restaurant’s opening, but Camille reminds him that the restaurant will be closed on Saturday night due to her parents’ engagement party. She invites Emily, Alfie, Mindy, and Mindy’s new boyfriend, and Emily accepts the invitation despite the fact that we know this will not end well!

Back at the workplace, Julien explains that he has secured an important appointment with a prospective client. Emily instantly responds that she will begin generating ideas, but Julien becomes protective and assures her that he is preparing a pitch deck. Emily informs everyone about Gabriel’s remodelled restaurant opening, and after hearing about his hopes for a Michelin star, she discovers that Luc’s ex-girlfriend Marianne is a Michelin inspector. They broke up because Luc could not keep her true profession a secret, but he chooses to seek out to her following their meeting.

Emily meets Mindy for lunch later that day, and they are mistakenly seated next to Camille and Sofia. Emily wonders what Sofia is doing back in Paris, and she tries to hide from her and Camille as they dispute; nevertheless, Camille finds them and they go over to say hello. Emily welcomes Sofia back to Paris, but Sofia expresses a desire that she and Camilla were still in Greece. Awkward! Mindy inquires as to whether Sofia will attend the restaurant’s grand opening or the engagement party, to which Sofia responds, “Neither.” Double awkward! Camille states that Sofia must depart immediately, and Sofia responds that she loves Paris (Camille) and plans to return “frequently.” When Emily and Mindy leave the restaurant, Mindy has changed her mind about the engagement and urges Emily to tell Gabriel that she witnessed Camille and Sofia kissing.

On Gabriel’s opening night, Luc regains his flow and asks Marianne to dinner. He intends to win back his ex-girlfriend while simultaneously securing a Michelin star for Gabriel. Emily decides not to tell Gabriel about the enormous possibility, but she does urge him to prepare “particularly special” foods for Luc and his girlfriend. Alfie tells Mindy that Nico caused Emily to leave her party the night before, and Mindy hugs Emily, apologizes, and leaves to put Nico in his place while Emily is away. Mindy reminds Nico that Emily is her family and gives him one more chance to show himself at Camille and Gabriel’s engagement celebration. Nico says it’s been difficult to be around Emily since the act she pulled with Pierre.

The next day, Luc informs Emily that Marianne enjoyed Gabriel’s cooking and that he believes the restaurant is on pace to receive a Michelin star. They proceed to the conference room for Julien’s big pitch, and he hits it out of the park. However, Emily manages to outdo him, which drives him insane. He yells, “DO YOU HAVE AN OFF SWITCH?” before departing the room. When Sylvie follows him, he informs her that he is constantly being pursued by headhunters, and she reassures him that she recognizes the problem with his obsessive work ethic. Later that evening, Julien is observed at his desk responding to an email with the phrase, “I’ve evaluated your offer. Please refrain from discussing with anyone” Uh oh. There appears to be problems ahead.

Except for Mindy and Nico, who are missing from the family chateau, everyone attends Gabriel and Camille’s wedding reception in formal attire. Emily locks eyes with Gabriel, and it is evident that she still has affections for him and wishes to inform him about Camille’s affair. But before we see her next move, we watch Mindy frantically messaging Nico for his estimated time of arrival as she paces about her apartment. She becomes so irritated that she tells him he botched it, and then the doorbell rings. Surprisingly, Mindy’s guest is not Nico! It is Benjamin! He also has NEWS. The Eurovision song contest approved the song he created for Mindy, now they are off to Eurovision!!

Just as Mindy appears to be moving on from Nico, he calls and tells her that they will make it to the party. How? They land a helicopter so close to the outdoor engagement meal that it completely disrupts the event. But even prior to their arrival, things were not proceeding smoothly. Timothée, Camille’s younger brother (the one who gave Emily the nickname “brother fucker”), nearly challenges Alfie to a duel over Emily. Emily then confronts Camille about kissing Sofia and urges her to notify Gabriel. After Mindy and Nico’s dramatic entrance, Nico apologizes sincerely to Emily, and the two agree to begin over.

Back at Gabriel’s restaurant, Marianne is raving about the meal, and Luc has slipped away to contact Emily with the good news: Gabriel’s restaurant is on track to receive a Michelin star. Gabriel and Emily greet Luc’s news with loving words and an emotional double hug. The expression on Camille’s face lowers as she observes their private moment. It is evident that she is contemplating telling Gabriel about her affair and wonders if he has completely moved on from Emily.

Sylvie and her husband are strolling along the Seine in Paris when he reveals that he intends to create a private membership club with interest from significant investors. He claims that he is still waiting for one big fish to bite, but unfortunately, that mysterious investor is Louis de Leon, the owner of JVMA. Sylvie’s expression falls when she hears about their professional arrangement, and it appears that Season 4 will explore Louis’ troubling past behavior in greater depth.

Gabriel finally tells Camille the good news at the engagement party and begs her to marry him immediately. Gabriel speaks his vows and says “I do” to Camille in front of their loved ones in a chapel that is very conveniently located (? ). She accepts, and they lead everyone to the church, where Gabriel delivers his vows and says “I do” in front of their family and friends. Camille stops mid-vows and explains that the only reason they’re together is because she knew he was in love with Emily and made a contract with Emily that none of them would be with him. Then she immediately BROKEN the agreement and claimed Gabriel as her own. Camille informs everyone in the room, including Alfie, that Gabriel and Emily have been in love with one another since the minute they met, and she is confident that their sentiments have not changed. Camille announces that she cannot marry Gabriel and storms out of the chapel; Alfie then breaks up with Emily. He states, “I’m nobody’s second choice, Cooper.” Now, pursue your target.

After damage control, Gabriel and Emily exchange glances across the room and meet outside to converse. They debate the agreement, their residual affections for one another, and their current predicament. Then Gabriel offers a final bombshell: “Emily, there is something you do not know. Camille did not return from Greece in order to revitalize our relationship. She returned to inform me that she is pregnant.

The final lines of the season are uttered by Emily as she exclaims, “Oh my god,” and the final image depicts Emily and Gabriel sitting next to one another and peering into their turbulent future. Netflix! Darren Star! Complete Paris! We will need Season 4 immediately!
