Erik ten Hag feels Man U lacks intensity

Thursday in the Europa League, Manchester United had to come back from a goal deficit to defeat Cypriot club Omonia Nicosia 3-2. Manager Erik ten Hag cited a lack of effort as the primary factor holding his team back.

United trailed 1-0 at halftime, but Marcus Rashford’s brace and Anthony Martial’s goal sparked their second-half comeback.

The victory came four days after Manchester City defeated United 6-3 in the Premier League.

Ten Hag told reporters, “We must continue, absorb the lessons each time, and give our all, since only good is good enough for me, and we are not good enough at the present.”

“As witnessed on Sunday, we must do much better. I believe the primary issue is our lack of intensity, which is something we’ve performed considerably better in the past.

“We must bring intensity to every game on the field. This was the major difference between City and us, so all of our players must accept responsibility for this.

On Sunday, United, who are sixth in the league, go to Everton.
