England cricket captain Ben Stokes sends angry tweet to thieves who stole his bag

England cricket captain, Ben Stokes, expressed his fury after his bag of clothes was stolen at King’s Cross Station.

The 31-year-old all-rounder had been travelling to watch England’s Six Nations match against France after a busy winter for the England team, which included winning the T20 World Cup.

Stokes took to Twitter to vent his frustration at the thieves, hoping that his clothes would be too big for them.

Although many cricket fans sympathised with the England captain over the loss of his possessions, some rival supporters were less empathetic.

Stokes has had a successful tenure as England captain, winning 10 out of the 12 matches he has captained. He led the Test side to a historic whitewash in a series against Pakistan before drawing 1-1 with New Zealand.

Stokes next career move is to join the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League after being bought by the team for £1.63 million.

He faces the ultimate challenge in cricket, the Ashes series, later this summer and hopes to regain the iconic trophy from the Australians for the first time since 2015.

Hopes are high for the “new brand” of English cricket, led by Stokes and Brendan McCullum, as they continue to achieve “some pretty special things.”

The stolen bag incident occurred while Stokes was travelling from his home in Cumbria to watch France smash England in a record home defeat for the English side at Twickenham.

The test side lost by one run when expert bowler Jimmy Anderson was dismissed by a legside grab.
