Emmerdale fans are speculating that a character has returned to the village after Rishi Sharma sensed that something strange was going on in his house.
Rishi is living alone and has noticed peculiar happenings such as kitchen jars being moved and the kettle being filled up.
He was left spooked after hearing noises upstairs and not receiving a response after calling out.
The soap hinted at someone messing with Rishi as a curtain was pulled back and then let go while he stared up at a window.
Jai, Rishi’s son, will believe that Rishi is either making it up or is just lonely after his daughter Priya left the village.
However, many viewers are questioning whether a character might have secretly returned and is possibly hiding at the house.
Fans believe that serial killer Meena Jutla, who was sent to prison last year, might have made a comeback.
Several fans took to Twitter and suggested that Meena might have escaped from prison and be hiding in Rishi’s house.
However, last year, soap producer Jane Hudson stated that Meena’s story had come to a close and that she was behind bars.
