Elon Musk proposes Ukraine negotiates peace with Russia

After asserting that the nation should stay “neutral” in the conflict with Russia, Elon Musk got into a Twitter spat with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, to which a diplomat urged him to “f*** off.”

Following Russia’s aggressive invasion of Ukraine eight months ago, the Tesla CEO made a number of statements in which he claimed he merely want “peace” between the nations.

He contends that the peace accord has to acknowledge that Crimea, which Russia illegitimately acquired in 2014, is “officially a part of Russia.”

Since Russia invaded and held a referendum, the US and other allies have recognized Crimea as being a part of Ukraine.

The wealthiest man in the world recognized that the referendum’s validity was “questionable,” but promptly fired back that it should be overseen by the UN or another “trusted body.”

The billionaire Musk has faced intense criticism online for saying that his “peace” agreement is “very likely” to be the result and that it is “just a matter of how many die before then.”

Andrij Melnyk, the ambassador of Ukraine to Germany, attacked Musk online in response to his proposals, writing, “F*** off is my very civilized reaction to you.”

The only result is that no Ukrainian will ever purchase your f***ing Tesla garbage going forward. Good luck to you, then.

Musk suggested that elections in annexed territories be held again under UN supervision in a poll he launched on Twitter asking other users for their opinions.

Musk posted two polls on his Twitter account asking opinions on how the war could be ended 'peacefully'

In under four hours, more than a million people cast ballots, and the outcome was closer than in his peace accord poll, which received about two million votes in the same time frame.

After hundreds of people rejected his other proposals, he claimed that a reliable water supply for Crimea was to blame for the results’ tainted integrity.

In response to the tweets, President Volodymyr Zelensky published his own poll, which asked, “Which Elon Musk do you prefer more? either one who backs Russia or one who backs Ukraine.

One who favors Ukraine received the vast majority of the over one million responses.

Musk said to his followers that he thought nuclear war was “unlikely,” but “possible.”

“Russia is partially mobilizing,” he said. Under the event that Crimea is in danger, they mobilize for war fully. Devastating deaths on both sides will result.

Since Russia has more people than three times as many as Ukraine, a comprehensive military triumph for Ukraine is improbable. Seek peace if you care about the Ukrainian people.

Russians demanded that Ukraine stay “neutral” and acknowledge Crimea as Russian during peace negotiations between Ukrainian and Russian officials at the outset of the conflict.

Both of those ideas, which included ordering Ukraine to demilitarize, were the exact same as Musk’s.

However, Ukrainian soldiers resisted the assault, which meant that the negotiations broke down when they drove back Russian forces.

The government of President Biden has also said that if Russia halted its invasion and withdrew, the conflict may cease.

However, if Ukraine retreated, Russia would slaughter more Ukrainians and pursue its plan to annex the nation.

In an effort to forcibly annex four regions of Ukraine, Russia has recently conducted fake referendums in those areas.

President Zelensky said last week that there was no way to attempt to have fruitful discussions with Vladimir Putin.

There will be nothing to discuss with this Russian President as a result of Russia’s execution of the alleged Crimean scenario and another effort to acquire Ukrainian land, he said.
