Goulding clarified that she and Ed Sheeran never dated, but she did acknowledge that she found it challenging to cope with the public’s scrutiny of her private life.
The rumors caused her to take a step back from her career for five years, and she became reclusive. Goulding confessed that she has talked about the drama with Sheeran, and they are friends.
Despite the stress, Goulding is moving forward with her career and will release her next album, “Higher Than Heaven,” on March 24.
