On Sunday, in Fordham Manor, an elderly woman was viciously attacked by a shameless mugger who elbowed her in the face and snatched her purse, according to the police.
The 70-year-old victim was mugged at the intersection of East Kingsbridge Road and East Fordham Road at 4:45 a.m.
The perpetrator grabbed her purse and knocked out her tooth with his elbow.
Despite the attack, the victim’s bag was recovered by two good Samaritans who chased after the thief, but they were unable to catch him.
The suspect fled down Kingsbridge Road toward East 192nd Street.
The NYPD has released a surveillance image of the suspect and is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying him.
