Eastern Cape police are investigating a murder case after a man’s corpse was discovered in a suitcase

The police in the Eastern Cape are investigating a murder case after the corpse of a man was discovered in a suitcase.

The man was reported missing on Saturday, a day before to the terrible finding, according to the police at Mlungisi in Komani.

According to Captain Namhla Mdleleni, a suitcase was discovered thrown along a river stream on Pahlane Street in Newvale.

“The body of a 37-year-old man was found in a suitcase dumped at Pahlane Street in Newvale on Sunday,” said Mdleleni.

“The police were summoned to the scene and on arrival they found the body in a suitcase near the stream. Upon investigation, it was revealed that the deceased was reported as a missing person on Saturday.

“A case of murder was opened and one suspect has been arrested and will appear before the Komani magistrate’s court soon.”
