Duke and Duchess of Sussex ‘joined senior royals at Queen Elizabeth’s casket’

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex allegedly joined senior royals at Buckingham Palace as they gathered in sadness around Queen Elizabeth’s coffin.

Prince Harry and his wife are claimed to have received the casket in a tiny, private ceremony at the British monarch’s residence of 70 years, and it is believed that no photos of the vigil will be shared.

Reportedly present were King Charles and his wife, the Queen Consort Camilla, as well as the Prince and Princess of Wales and Prince Andrew.

Princess Beatrice and Edo Mapelli Mozzi, Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, as well as Zara Philips and Mike Tindall reportedly attended the extraordinary event.

Princess Anne, who traveled from Edinburgh to London with the Queen’s coffin, and Prince Edward, Sir Tim Laurence, Sophie Wessex, Peter Philips, James, Viscount Severn, and Lady Louise Windsor are reportedly said to have attended.

After years of rumored rifts, the Sussexes and Waleses have already reunited to meet mourners and witness the sea of floral tributes left for Her Majesty at Windsor Castle.

Tuesday afternoon, Princess Anne accompanied the deceased monarch’s coffin from St. Giles’ Cathedral to Edinburgh Airport.

The Queen’s jet landed at RAF Northolt at 6:55 p.m., and her casket was transported to Buckingham Palace through a rain-soaked, dark autumn night.

A guard of honour consisting of 96 soldiers from The King’s Guard met the coffin before it was placed to rest overnight in the Bow Room of the Palace.

Anne delivered a message in honor to her late mother, who died peacefully at her Balmoral home on September 8 at the age of 96.

It was an honor and a privilege to join her on her final adventures, she said.

The casket will depart Buckingham Palace at 2.22 p.m. on Wednesday, and people will be able to see the cortege travel along the Mall, Horseguard’s Parade, and Whitehall, with King Charles and members of the royal family participating in the procession.

The coffin will arrive at Westminster Hall at 3 p.m. for the four full days of lying in state, and the public will be permitted to pay respects beginning at 5 p.m. prior to the Queen’s state burial on Monday, September 19 (a UK bank holiday).
