Doug Ford consumes a bee during a press conference

Premier of Ontario Doug Ford unintentionally ingested a bee at a live news conference, causing quite a stir.

The 57-year-old Ford was in the midst of fielding questions from reporters at the news conference in Dundalk, Ontario on Friday when the bee went directly into his mouth.

“Jesus Christ, I just ingested a bee!” Ford yelled as he went for his water bottle during a coughing spell.

In footage of the press conference that has since gone viral, the bee can be seen hovering about Ford’s face for a few seconds before diving into his open lips.Ford was talking about privatizing health care at the presser in Dundalk, Ontario on Friday'This is going to be replayed over and over again. The prime minister took a sip of water, swiftly regained his composure, and joked that the video would create a stir.

‘I’m good. Ford informed the audience, pointing to his tummy, that he is now residing there. He has a great deal of real estate! The video depicts the moment Ford swallowed the fly while struggling to expel it from his lips. However, it was too late.

Ford replied with a chuckle, “Man, he went straight down the grate.”

He continued, “This will be played over and over again.”

This will be repeated many times. And with that, Colin D’Mello’s day was made. The Global News reporter will be giggling all the way to the city,’ Ford added.

The audience Ford was addressing was concerned, but he assured them he was alright.

Sorry, fellas. There, the little rascal escaped,” he remarked.

When a member of the crowd inquired whether he was okay to continue, Ford said, ‘I’m OK. It is noisy in there. Ford assured reporters at the press conference that his administration would “get creative” when considering delivery methods.

When asked whether Ontario is exploring greater privatization of the health-care system, he said, “all options are on the table.”

He said, “I’m not going to do anything without contacting the experts.” One thing we can promise is that you will always be covered by OHIP and not a credit card.

Are we going to be inventive? Absolutely. As previously said, the province cannot continue doing the same thing and expecting a different outcome.
