Dog poops gives commentary on Louisville’s abysmal season

During halftime of the Louisville men’s basketball team’s game against Virginia Tech at KFC Yum! Centre on Tuesday night, a frisbee-catching dog was brought in for entertainment. However, the talented pooch decided to give its commentary on Louisville’s abysmal season by pooping on the court as it was leaving the hardwood. This was captured on video and shared on social media, causing fans to groan. The dog’s trainer rushed out to handle the situation, and there was even a smattering of claps afterwards.

Louisville’s struggles this season have been well-documented, with the team holding a record of 4-26 and 2-17 in the ACC. These numbers are among the worst in the country, and the team’s lone conference wins have come over Clemson and Georgia Tech. This will mark the program’s first time with a single-digit win total since the 1941-1942 season.

These struggles are not new for Louisville, as the team posted back-to-back 13-win seasons and saw coach Chris Mack fired after a 6-8 start last year. The last time the team made the NCAA Tournament was in 2019, and they last won a game in the Big Dance in 2017.

Kenny Payne, a former 76er, took over as head coach this season and has a long road ahead to get the Cardinals back to being a title contender. Payne won the 1986 national championship with Louisville as a player and has been coaching since 2004, with stops as an assistant at Oregon and Kentucky before becoming an assistant for the Knicks from 2020-22. Despite the team’s struggles, Payne remains optimistic and focused on building a winning program.
