Dog kills 4-year-old child in her backyard

The horrified neighbors of a four-year-old girl who was fatally attacked by a dog at her Milton Keynes home have paid homage to her.

The animal mauled little Alice Stones yesterday night in her backyard in Broadlands, Netherfield.

Armed cops entered the house and are said to have trapped and killed the dog. According to Thames Valley Police, no arrests have been made as they look into the incident.

This morning, neighbors laid flowers outside the home, while others reported Alice’s mother’s “desperate cries” when her kid was murdered by the animal, which neighbors said the family purchased approximately six weeks ago.

“I heard,” “She’s gone! She’s gone! “‘My neighbor said. They will always be with me. It felt like a nightmare. I’m devastated. I’ll be haunted by them.

No one else was wounded, according to the police, and officers with specialized training are helping the girl’s family. Officers are still there at the area today as part of their ongoing investigation.

A neighbor who heard the cries coming from the house during the assault stated today, “At first I assumed the noise was from someone’s television but it just continued on and on, like a high-pitched screech.”

When I opened my window, all I could hear were screams and sobs. I had no idea what was happening.

My buddy, who lives closer to the home, claims to have overheard a lady repeatedly yelling, “My baby, she’s dead, she’s dead.” It’s very terrible.

Yesterday shortly after 5 o’clock, officers and paramedics were called to a house in Broadlands, Netherfield, after complaints of a dog attack on a youngster there.

A police marksman shot the dog dead after armed policemen pounced on the residence “extremely swiftly” and told the neighbors to remain inside.

According to police, the dog was “humanely destroyed.”

In relation to the inquiry, no one has been taken into custody.

Police went to the site, community members said, and put the neighborhood “essentially on lockdown.”

According to a neighbor whose kids attend Alice’s school, police had advised people to remain indoors in case the dog managed to escape.

Someone is going to be injured if this dog escapes, an officer allegedly stated.

The neighbor identified the animal as a “large brown dog” that the family had adopted recently as a pet. The local claimed to have “only seen it at the residence.”

The neighbor who lives next door to the family said that when he attempted to check out his back yard, he was told to return inside.

Armed cops are said to have arrived on his door an hour later and asked to enter his house so they could examine the layout of the property and “get an idea of what next door might look like.”

Soon after, according to reports, police informed him that it would be “better if I left the residence.”

I had no clue what was going on, but there were twelve police vehicles and three ambulances with their blue lights on, the resident said.

“Stay inside, do not come out,” a police officer said on the street, I overheard. My acquaintance said that a different cop had forewarned them to brace for gunfire.

“It was incredibly horrifying, so just in case, I locked my front and back doors.” I was unaware that they were searching for a dog at that time.

Thames Valley Police Superintendent Matt Bullivant said yesterday night, “This is an incredibly horrific event in which we think that a kid has been murdered after being attacked by a dog.”

Clearly, the inquiry is in its very early stages, thus making assumptions about the incident’s precise circumstances at this time would be erroneous and counterproductive.

‘However, earlier this evening it was decided to euthanize the implicated dog in order to protect public safety, and this was done in a compassionate manner.

I am aware of the significant effects this will have on the neighborhood and the general public, and residents can anticipate seeing a significant police presence in the area this evening and for the foreseeable future as our investigation progresses.

I want to reassure everyone that there is now no cause to think that the general population is in risk, Mr. Bullivant concluded.

“Anyone with inquiries should feel free to contact our police and get answers, but I strongly advise against making assumptions about the situation, particularly on social media.

I am aware that the media will probably be interested in this situation. In light of this, I would like to request that, at this very trying time, the privacy of the affected family be respected. What they must be going through right now is difficult to fathom.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is requested to call Crimestoppers anonymously at 0800 555 111 or call 101 and reference number 20230131-1546, according to the police. Online reports are also an option.
