DJ Zinhle responds to viral footage of her ignoring Pearl Thusi

A recent video that appeared to show DJ Zinhle giving actress Pearl Thusi the cold shoulder at an event has been circulating on social media.

In the viral video, DJ Zinhle appears to shoot down Thusi when she approaches the DJ booth to dance with her, however this is not the case.

DJ Zinhle swiftly utilized social media to put an end to the situation.

The mother of two stated in a series of tweets that she needed to “clarify things” and that Twitter users should stop “vilifying” her.

The composer of “Umlilo” wrote: “1/2: Hey there. I need to clarify the situation. Pearl and I had a great time, and in the video you watched, I was signaling to Brandon, with whom I was playing a set, to come and choose the music because we were using his USBs.”

She continued: “Secondly. Why would Pearl smile as she walked away from me if I was being cruel? Please stop defaming me… STOP!”

STOP!

The star of “The Unexpected” insisted that she was “never nasty” to Thusi and that Twitter users push their own story.

In her most recent tweet, she added, “Also. You constantly asserting that I do not need to explain myself so that you can advance the narrative that amuses you. “I was never, ever cruel to Pearl.”

I was never harsh to Pearl, never…

In recent months, the two have appeared less and less in public and on each other’s social media, which has prompted much speculation about their connection.

DJ Zinhle also did not post a birthday message for Thusi on her social media accounts in May, which, according to tweeters, indicated the “death of the friendship.” However, it appears like peace has returned to their camp.

On September 21, the DJ posted a photo of Thusi and her hugging on her Instagram Stories.

DJ Zinhle and her husband, Murdah Bongz aka Morda, performed at the birthday party for singer Moozlie, sponsored by Thusi at Montana The Club in Rosebank.

Even after hearing DJ Zinhle’s side of the tale, Twitter users remain unconvinced.

Here is what some Twitter users had to say:

@DlaminyPenelope tweeted, “You were rude, kodwa Zinhle; your face expression reveals everything.”

You were impolite, kodwa Zinhle; your face expression reveals this.

And @SnitchDre joked, “There’s no need to explain why she interrupted your work hours.”
