Devin Willock and some of his Georgia teammates were seen exiting a strip club in Athens 15 minutes before to the horrific car accident that claimed his life and Chandler LeCroy’s.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution identified Willock and his teammate Warren McClendon, among other players, in video footage that shows the group leaving Toppers International Showbar at approximately 2:30 a.m. on January 15 — hours after Georgia celebrated back-to-back national championships following their historic victory over TCU.

According to the news source, the players were accompanied by two ladies who resembled the UGA employees involved in the terrible collision.

The trio reportedly fled the strip club thirty minutes after it closed, before entering a black 2021 Ford Expedition driven by LeCroy. At 2:40 a.m., the footage shows the vehicle going through a nearby intersection.

The Willock family’s attorney, Roy T. Willey IV, issued the following statement on their behalf.

“As there are no words to adequately describe the loss we are experiencing, the support of those who have offered kind words and shared fond memories of Devin has helped us during this difficult time,” said the statement.

“We want everyone to know that Devin was much more than a football player. He was a dependable friend, a caring and supportive brother, a devoted student, and a beautiful son. No one who has ever met or observed Devin will ever forget his contagious personality and warm grin. He was a young man who had interests outside of football. He was motivated by his affection for others and his desire to realize his potential.”

Willock, a native of Milford, New Jersey, participated in fifteen games for Georgia and made two starts. He was a sophomore redshirt.
