Delta State University of Science and Technology (DSUST) Closed for Two Weeks

At an emergency meeting on 14 October 2022, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Jacob S. Oboreh, together with the Management and Deans of Faculties, addressed the danger posed by the campus flood. The effect was enormous, and student safety became a top priority.

As a consequence, the University will be closed for two (2) weeks commencing immediately. This became effective on Friday, October 14, 2022. Students are anticipated to return on Sunday, October 30, 2022, and lectures/Continuous Assessment exams will commence on Monday, November 1, 2022.

Students residing in residence halls who choose to stay on campus must register with the Ag. Dean of Students to guarantee adequate monitoring for the duration of the flooding.

Please note that all academic and non-teaching staff are required to report for duty.

During the break, security guards and other essential duty workers must be on-site to efficiently perform their assigned jobs.

Finally, workers must take the required procedures to safeguard University property against water damage in their respective offices.
