DEA recovers tons of Fentanyl Pills, Cash, and Other Narcotics

To arrest drug dealers and seize drugs bound for the Seattle region, Seattle Police Narcotics Detectives collaborate with federal counterparts in Homeland Security Investigation and Drug Enforcement Administration.

After multiple control purchase operations, SPD detectives and HSI agents were able to identify and locate a drug dealer earlier this month. After obtaining a search warrant, the authorities detained the drug dealer and seized the following items:

– Fentanyl tablets weighing 415.9 grams

– 657.8 grams of powdered fentanyl

– Methamphetamine weight of 1528.6 grams

heroin weighing 834 grams

2.25 grams of cocaine

– A total of about $16,700 in cash

In a different operation, this past October in 2022, SPD investigators discovered information about a drug dealer who had traveled from California to Seattle to distribute fentanyl. The source of these “skittle” fentanyl pills was found by SPD in California with the aid of DEA investigators. The Clovis Police Department, the regional agency, and the DEA then took over the investigation.

A guy was detained after a three-month investigation by the DEA and the Special Enforcement Team of the Clovis Police Department. He was found to be in possession of over a million fentanyl pills. With K9 Bodie’s assistance, the agencies acquired search warrants and carried them out. The results of the search warrants were 35 pounds of fentanyl tablets—roughly 160,000 pills worth over $1 million—and more than two pounds of heroin.

The SPD Narcotics Detectives are still conducting investigations and collaborating with our allies to combat the drug pandemic that afflicts our neighborhood.
