David Warner, a great actor in England, passed away, according to his family.

The Mirror reports that the Titanic actor passed away on Sunday, July 24, at the age of 80, following a cancer-related illness.

DAvid Warner passed away.

On Monday, Warner’s family made the announcement of his demise, praising him as a “kind-hearted, kind, and compassionate” partner and father.

In a tearful statement, his partner Lisa wrote:

Sleep well, darling prince. May angels soar… Heartbroken.”

Warner’s family announced in a statement that he passed away in the early hours at Denville Hall, a care facility for those working in the entertainment industry.

We must inform you with great sadness that actor David Warner passed away on July 24 at Denville Hall in the early hours due to cancer-related sickness. He was close to 81 years old.

“Over the past 18 months, he handled his diagnosis with his usual dignity and grace.

“He was a renowned stage, television, voice, and film actor for 60 years.”

Warner is best recognised for his role as Spicer Lovejoy, Billy Zane’s companion, in Titanic.

He played photojournalist Keith Jennings in the 1976 horror movie The Omen, which is how most people would recognise him.

In addition, he appeared in Star Treks V and VI, Time Bandits, Tron, Tom Jones, Morgan: A Suitable Case for Treatment, and Morgan.

In his theatre career, he appeared as Falstaff in the 2008 Histories Cycle, Henry VI in The Wars of the Roses in the 1960s, and Hamlet with the Royal Shakespeare Company.

The statement from Warner continued, “He is survived by his cherished companion Lisa Bowerman, his adored son Luke and daughter-in-law Sarah, his good friend Jane Spencer Prior, his first wife Harriet Evans, and his many gold dust pals.

I was shocked to learn of David Warner’s passing.

He left a significant legacy on stage and cinema, playing iconic roles in films like Titanic, Straw Dogs, From Beyond The Grave, The Omen, Time After Time, Time Bandits, and many others. We will miss him. pic.twitter.com/sBh4VVvEfH
