Courtney Clenney, 26, made headlines after her boyfriend was stabbed to death in April

Courtney Clenney, an influencer for OnlyFans, seemed teary-eyed in her mugshot after being detained at a Hawaii treatment centre and accused of killing her partner at their Miami home.

Christian Obumseli, 27, was stabbed by Clenney, 26, who claims she did it in self defence.

However, authorities in Hawaii detained her on Wednesday in preparation for her extradition to Florida. She is accused of committing second-degree murder while using a dangerous weapon.

Her attorney, Frank Prieto, expressed his disbelief, saying, “I’m absolutely startled, particularly because we were working with the inquiry and promised to willingly surrender her if she were prosecuted.”

We are eager to get her name cleared in court.

Less than two years had passed since Clenney and bitcoin trader Obumseli started dating, and their union was turbulent.

Police were repeatedly summoned to their Austin, Texas home after she was detained for domestic assault in Las Vegas.

The couple relocated to Miami at the beginning of the year, and since then, employees and residents at the One Paraiso building have received several complaints about the couple’s involvement in domestic disputes and have even taken steps to remove them.

Clenney was reportedly compelled to stab Obumseli on the evening of April 3 when Prieto seized her by the neck.

Christian Obumseli's family do not believe that he was threatening to harm his girlfriend, OnlyFans model Courtney Clenney, when she stabbed him in the shoulder on April 3. He later died of his injuries

In April, Obumseli’s brother expressed his ire at her for not being prosecuted with murder right away, claiming that this was due to her privilege as a “rich white lady” and not because she claimed she was acting in self-defense.

Clenney, who is also known as Courtney Tailor, then called 911 and said that she stabbed the man in the shoulder out of self-defense.

The victim’s brother, Jeffrey Obumseli, and his family, however, said in a statement shared on Instagram that they do not trust Clenney and demand that she be prosecuted for murdering the brother he named Toby.

Just after the event, a model was seen on camera covered in blood sitting on her high-rise balcony.

The truth, as Jeffrey Obumseli put it, “is unavoidably clear: Courtney is being treated differently because of her privilege as an affluent White lady.”

“The investigator on the case hastily decided this was not a crime of violence within 24 hours of Toby’s death.”

In a post on Instagram, the victim’s brother also criticised Clenney for recordings that surfaced after the event and showed her drenched in blood, cuddling with her dogs, and then getting drinks at the hotel bar.

As my brother lay in the mortuary, he wrote, “We’ve seen footage of Courtney hugging her dogs while coated in what we think to be his blood and nonchalantly sipping drinks at a hotel bar days afterwards.”

Jeffrey Obumseli, the brother of slain Christian Tobechukwu 'Toby' Obumseli, claimed in April that the victim's OnlyFans girlfriend was not charged in his death because of her 'privilege' as a 'wealthy white woman' and not because of her self-defense claim

He was alluding to footage that shows Clenney visiting Miami’s Grand Beach hotel a few days after the death of her partner.

This assertion was refuted by her attorney, who said: “The idea that Courtney “casually gets beverages” is completely incorrect.”

Courtney wasn’t “casually enjoying beverages at a hotel bar,” as was claimed. Courtney was seated in the hotel’s lobby, which also has a bar, at an unattended table.

She was having drinks with her father, who was also in town, according to Prieto, but they left because a “lady started berating them for no reason,” he said.

The family of Obumseli from Austin, Texas, is still looking for explanations.

Clenney was detained in accordance with the Baker Act of Florida, which guards those who are at danger of suicide or mental health crises, but was later released without being charged.

Through GoFundMe, Obumseli’s family is also collecting funds for him.

He was the victim of a “heinous act of brutality,” according to their website.

The young couple had recently moved together from Austin, where they met, to Miami

A week before turning 28, Christian Toby Obumseli was killed in Florida. To attempt to make sense of our new world is morally repugnant.

“That person tore Christian from our planet with their selfish deed.” Not only are we upset and astonished, but we are also completely saddened.

His murder raises a lot of concerns and leaves a hole in the world that can never be patched or filled. Irrespective of time.

Christian had a strong desire to inspire others around him and was incredibly empathetic. It states, “He did not deserve to have his life taken by a horrific act of violence.

Friends of the marriage have provided contrasting accounts of who was abusive.

Some said that while they had previously seen her hitting him, they had never seen Obumseli get aggressive with her.

We saw her strike him. One of the couple’s friends, Ashley Vaughn, claimed, “I’ve never seen him hit her.”

She told Local 10 that she didn’t think Christian would put her in a situation where she would have to stab him to defend herself because of their personal interactions.

Fresh, X-rated material started showing up on her OnlyFans page after his passing.

It’s not known whether she intended for it to happen before stabbing him.
