Cost-of-living crisis: Woolworths freezes prices of nearly 200 essential items

Woolworths has announced that the pricing of household goods would be frozen until the end of the year.

Woolworths has told consumers that, despite rising inflation, it will keep the price of pantry, meal, cleaning, and baby supplies the same to help Australians deal with the cost of living crisis.

Flour, sugar, coffee, pasta, frozen peas, shredded cheese, bread rolls, bacon, yoghurt, juice, nappies, and laundry powder are among the essentials.

Woolworths has frozen the prices of nearly 200 essential items (listed above) to enable Australians to save money on groceries during the current cost-of-living crisis.

As food prices continue to rise, Woolworths CEO Brad Banducci told the Daily Mail Australia that he is committed to ensuring customers ‘get their Woolies worth.’

‘The challenges we’ve worked through together in the last two plus years have been unparalleled – from droughts and fires to Covid, floods and supply shortages and now inflation and the pressure on household budgets,’ he said.

Customers should look for Woolworths home-brand products, purchase seasonally, and join Woolworths Rewards to save even more money, according to Mr Banducci.
