“Commitment to America” film uses stock photos of Russia and Ukraine

The “Commitment to America” film that Republican House members have published is replete with stock photos of Russia and Ukraine.

On behalf of House Republicans, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, 57, released the video on Friday, accusing Democrats of having “driven America off-track” via “crippling inflation and widespread crime” as well as the “border mayhem.”

What’s worse is that they disregarded your objectives and treated your principles with disdain.

The video’s narration said, “We won’t tolerate it. “We celebrate the vibrant American Dream and the rich tradition of the American tale.”

However, it seems that American “values” are really found in Russia and Ukraine, since the new movie includes multiple images of joyful children and mining equipment that are located far outside of American territory.

According to reports, Russian cinematographer Serg Grbanoff took many images.

The drilling equipment in one of Grbanoff’s films that appears in the Republican video was purportedly recorded in Russia’s Volgograd area, according to the filmmaker, who spoke to HuffPost. A well-known website for stock photos, Shutterstock, hosts the film.

The cute video of a small child running across a field with a red aircraft, which was supposedly also shot in the Volgograd area, was another image that belonged to Grbanoff.

A European market is seen on the screen while the announcer discusses how debilitating inflation has increased food costs in America.

The word “activity” in Slovak is written in red next to the term “AKCIA” in the image’s bottom left corner. According to HuffPost, the artwork is used figuratively to denote a discounted item.

Another picture, posted to Shutterstock by the user DedovStock, depicts a guy strolling through a Ukrainian cornfield while carrying a backpack over his shoulder.

According to HuffPost, DedovStock’s online portfolio includes photographs shot in Ukraine and other Eastern European countries.

Republican leaders have not yet officially addressed the false photos.

McCarthy’s spokesman, Mark Bednar, responded to the HuffPost when it contacted his office, saying: “Interesting how you guys aren’t even concerned on the concerns affecting the American people in the video.”

According to the Commitment to America plan, “runaway spending will be fixed, American energy will be unleashed, soft-on-crime policies will cease, law enforcement will get assistance, and parental control will be restored.”

McCarthy claimed to Laura Ingraham on Fox News that the House Republicans will create “a vibrant economy” by halting inflation. In order to keep the country safer, he said that 200,000 extra police officers will be hired.

In order to promote “transparency,” he said that he would “award a score” to each prosecutor in the country.
