Commentary: APGA Stands For A Better Nigeria

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) is a movement. And all creative activities begin with movement. The party is a bulldozer; a strong Iroko planted by God and sustained by noble minds to wipe the tears of the people away and transform their lives for the better. That is why APGA is still cruising in a formidable model propounded by notable gurus such as Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, Ezigbo Gburu Gburu, Ikemba Nnewi.

And that is why, in all elections conducted in the state, APGA has always sailed through to victory. The last Anambra State governorship election, which saw Professor Chukwuma Soludo of APGA sweeping the polls, is still evergreen in our memory.

Though the emergence of Soludo as the winner of the election did not come as a surprise, particularly weighing the number of money-seeking and selfish politicians that defected out of APGA at the dying minute and the pedigree, antecedents and personality of Soludo, yet in all that, APGA swept the poll in the entire state.

It would be recalled also that APGA swept the polls in the entire 21 LGAs in the 2017 Anambra guber election. The party also occupies some seats in both the green and red chambers of the National Assembly as well as some state houses of assemble and the Gwagwalada area council of the FCT.

In fact, APGA had been winning all the elections conducted in the entire South East states since 2002 when the party was registered. However, desperate politicians had been thwarting the wishes of the masses to favour their selfish and egoistic interest. That of Anambra was wrestled out of them in 2006 through the courts and since then, APGA has been religiously and reliably controlling Anambra with fruitful testimonies.

Suffice it to say that for Nigeria to be liberated from the current socio- economic and political stranglehold, they should adopt the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA. Igbo presidency can be feasible if Ndigbo and all other progressives in Nigeria embrace APGA. There is no doubt that Ndigbo needed a regional party for power bargain. All that Ndigbo need now to achieve their political desires is to be united under one political front –APGA.

Experience overtime has shown that any region, which wants to be heard in Nigeria, must have a strong dominant political platform upon which it could negotiate power with other regions. Therefore, if Ndigbo want to secure their political destiny, they should rally round APGA now.

The achievements of APGA in Anambra State are a sure proof that if Ndigbo embrace APGA, Nigeria will no longer take them for a ride. Ndigbo, with over one hundred and fifty million people scattered everywhere across the globe, will be the most sought after beautiful bride in the polity.

Ndigbo should note that no other political party can offer them the needed platform to actualize their political ambition other than APGA. The race was never taken for granted during the NCNC and NPP era because they were more united and they collectively championed their cause.

Political activists in the entire South-East and beyond are therefore urged to embrace APGA ahead of the 2022 polls, if the region would remain politically relevant. It is obvious, and other regions are aware of it, that Ndigbo are very wise and energetic; they have a lot of ideas to redeem this country from the clutches of security debacle and economic quagmire.

The All Progressives Grand Alliance has been proving its mettle in Anambra state since 2006 till date; from Obi to Obiano and now Soludo, who will be sworn in on March 17, 2022. The party assures Ndigbo that Professor Chukwuma Soludo would fulfill all he promised in tandem with the manifesto of the party. He is being urged therefore to carry the party along, as usual, in all his policies and actions for a better Anambra state.

Ndigbo, Nkea Bu Nkeanyi oo.
