On Monday, a soccer player allegedly tried to distract an opponent during a first division match in Colombia by pulling down his shorts and exposing his penis.
El Pais reports that Sante Fe defender Geisson Perea exposed himself while preparing to defend a Jaguares free kick early in the contest.
Inadvertently capturing the moment on camera landed Perea in hot water with others watching.
Francisco Velez, a writer for ESPN and RCN Radio, tweeted, “What contempt from Geisson Perea from Santa Fe, pulling down his pants when players know that TV cameras might frame them at any time.”

After the match, Perea posted an Instagram story with a biblical quotation about being naked and several laughing emojis.
The quote stated, “Nude I emerged from my mother’s womb, and naked I shall go.”
The 31-year-old explained to Caracol Radio that he lowered his shorts to adjust his undershorts.
“I was repairing my clothes, and I had that room,” he explained. “When I enter the field to play, I am unaware that a camera is observing me.”
The losing team, Sante Fe, has yet to comment on the incident.
