Clive Owen, a star of the Channel 5 show “Our Yorkshire Farm,” recently spoke on ITV Lorraine about his separation from his wife and co-star Amanda Owen.
The couple announced their separation last year but continue to operate the Ravenseat Farm together, with Clive living on the farm and Amanda living half a mile away.
Clive stated that he wanted to defend Amanda against the cruel comments she has been receiving on social media since their separation, particularly in light of reports that she is dating someone else.
During the interview, Clive acknowledged his role in their separation and said that he had handled the situation poorly.
He said that they had had a plan to make their family more secure, which had been successful, but that he had behaved badly towards Amanda during the transition.
Clive admitted to “ranting and raving” and “drinking and carrying on,” which led to jealousy and tension in their relationship.
He added that the show had created a wedge between them and that the pressure had made it difficult to get along, which ultimately led to their separation.
When asked about how their nine children were coping with the separation, Clive said that they were doing well and supporting each other.
With so many siblings, they could lean on each other, he explained.
