Cher fuelled engagement speculations by tweeting a photo of a beautiful diamond ring given to her by her lover Alexander “AE” Edwards on Sunday.
And Mike Fried, chief executive officer of The Diamond Pro, tells Page Six Style that the dazzling jewel may be worth a quarter million dollars.
“Cher’s ring is as magnificent as any shoe on the Las Vegas strip,” the gem expert jokes, adding that the enormous pear-shaped center stone set on a pavé band “seems to be north of 6 carats” — roughly the same size as the stones worn by Cardi B, Gwen Stefani, and Ariana Grande.
Cher, 76, tweeted on Christmas Day, “THERE R NO WORDS, ALEXANDER,A.E.” along with a photo of the ring in its open box, before clarifying an hour later that she only intended to highlight her 36-year-old beau’s fiery green manicure.
In early November, the pair was spotted on a date for the first time.”I shared this because his nails are so cool,” the singer of “Strong Enough” explained.
Cher has neither confirmed nor denied that she and Edwards are engaged, but she did tweet on Monday that she wishes her late mother, Georgia Holt, who died on December 10 at age 96, could see the jaw-dropping ring.

Cher stated on the “Kelly Clarkson Show” earlier this month, “On paper, it’s kind of absurd.” In actuality, however, we get along fine.
On the couple’s age difference, she earlier tweeted, “Love doesn’t know math.”
The Grammy winner was previously married to Sonny Bono from 1964 to 1975 and Gregg Allman from 1975 to 1979, whereas Edwards has a three-year-old son with ex-girlfriend Amber Rose, whom he dated from 2018 to 2021.
