An Australian physician revealed that he is both pleased and concerned about the future of his profession after using an extraordinary artificial intelligence function to quickly diagnose a ‘patient’Dr Prithvi Santana (pictured above) is 'nervous' about the future of medicine after sharing a TikTok of him experimenting with an AI called ChatGPT

Dr. Prithvi Santana, a recent UNSW graduate, was testing with ChatGPT when he provided the bot with simple medical cues and facts that it was able to interpret as a diagnosis.

OpenAI, an artificial intelligence research laboratory co-founded by Elon Musk, developed ChatGPT, which provides astonishingly accurate responses to a vast array of user prompts.

Dr. Santana claimed in the video, “ChatGPT might take my career as a physician.”

He reported that he was so thrilled by its functionality that his nose began to bleed.

Dr. Santana was unconcerned by the AI’s capability when it answered with probable life-threatening situations and tests he should request, stating, “I can do that on Wikipedia.”

Nonetheless, he was surprised by a different feature of ChatGPT.The AI was not just able to provide Dr Santana with life threats and procedures, but also swiftly provided a diagnosis for his fictional patient (pictured, Mr Santana's TikTok reacting to the AI)

“The most terrifying aspect is that I provided it a case history with subtleties that it needed to incorporate… and it diagnosed the patient for me,” he said.

This is my occupation and what we do.

This will alter the role of physicians in healthcare. And I am both excited and anxious.’ChatGPT was created by OpenAI, an artificial intelligence research laboratory that was cofounded by Elon Musk (pictured above)

Dr. Santana did not specify whether ChatGPT’s diagnosis was entirely accurate, but he appeared content with the AI’s suggestions.

TikTok footage shows the AI stating the recommended tests, risk factors, and likely diagnosis in clear, concise bullet points.

The AI was able to give Dr. Santana with not only life-threatening threats and treatments, but also a rapid diagnosis for his imaginary patient (shown by Dr. Santana’s TikTok’s reaction to the AI).

TikTok users have plenty to say about ChatGPT’s medical potential. While more professions outside of medicine could potentially be influenced by the AI, it's factual accuracy and morals have been called into question (pictured, Nat Choprasert using ChatGPT to create a five day content plan)

One reader said, “Doctors are going to hear a lot of “That’s not what ChatGPT stated”.”

Another hesitant user stated, “It could eliminate your position, or it could help you streamline your duties and care for more patients.”

Dr. Santana said, “I’m leaning toward the latter, as I believe it could one day redefine the role and responsibilities of a physician.”

Since its inception in November, ChatGPT has received a great deal of attention, with many professionals outside of medical confessing to being concerned about the AI’s potential.

A content creator and expert in ‘no code’ technology for small businesses, Nat Choprasert, uploaded a TikTok demonstrating ChatGPT’s ability to generate a five-day content strategy for an e-commerce body scrub startup in only 15 seconds.

When Ms. Choprasert asked the AI to modify and restructure its response, it was able to do so.

She stated, “This is why corporations spend so much for social media marketers.”

While the AI could potentially influence additional professions outside of medical, its factual correctness and morality have been questioned (shown, Nat Choprasert using ChatGPT to construct a five-day content plan).

Its human-like writing has overwhelmed ChatGPT’s servers with users, although its factual accuracy has been questioned.

When challenged by Mike Pearl of Mashable to name the largest country in Central America that is not Mexico, ChatGPT mistakenly identified Guatemala instead of Nicaragua.

Ax Sharma of BleepingComputer drew attention to the malware’s immorality and capacity to create convincing phishing and fraud emails.
