The Board of Trustees [BoT] has appointed Professor Francis Adegbaye Igbasan as the second substantive Vice-Chancellor of McPherson University, Seriki Sotayo, Ogun State

The McPherson University, Seriki Sotayo, Ogun State Board of Trustees [BoT] has nominated Professor Francis Adegbaye Igbasan as its second substantive Vice-Chancellor.

The university is owned by the Nigerian Foursquare Gospel Church.

Among other professional qualifications, he holds a B. Tech. in Animal Production & Health from 1988, an M.Sc. in Animal Science from 1990, and a PhD in Animal Nutrition from 1997.

He also has a number of articles in recognized academic journals.

The don, a native of Ode Irele in Ondo State, Nigeria, is a member of numerous national and international professional organizations and has traveled extensively for conferences.

He studied at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada, the University of Ibadan in Ibadan, Nigeria, and the Federal University of Technology in Akure, Nigeria.

The most recent position held by Professor Igbasan in the university system was that of Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Okitipupa, Ondo State’s Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology.

The vice chancellor-elect is a professor of animal nutrition.

On July 1st, 2022, the new executive will start serving as Vice-Chancellor designate. He will be assisted in the transition at this period by the current Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adeniyi Agunbiade.

He will officially become the second vice-chancellor of McPherson University on August 1, 2022.

He is married and has three kids.

The procedure that produced the new VC was rigorous and in keeping with international best practices, according to Professor James Nda Jacob, the Ag. Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council.
