In a Twitter post on Wednesday, he reflected on his journey and claimed to have witnessed and endured various hardships that have affected his outlook.

Charly Boy, who initiated the ‘Our Mumu Don Do’ movement, revealed that he had been subjected to brutality, tear-gassing, financial hardships, and even imprisonment by security operatives.

His encounters since 1966 have led him to lose hope, he added.

Expressing his sentiments, he tweeted, “As an individual, a citizen of this once great country and the Area Fada, I can say that I have seen it all, now am soft like butter.

I was young when the Union Jack was lowered into oblivion.

I saw hope perish in 1966 and the wanton destruction that followed in 1967.

I watched my beloved father clear a path to national healing in 1999.

I have seen even more since then.

I sabi how water enters coconut.

I have been brutalized, tear-gassed, locked up for months, rendered poor by our nonsensical security force.”

Charly Boy Raises Questions About President Tinubu’s Age

In another social media post, Charly Boy shared an old photograph purportedly featuring President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his schoolmates.

Mocking the document, Charly Boy asserted that Tinubu’s actual age should be 84, contradicting the current claim that he is 71 years old as stated by the incumbent President of Nigeria.

Furthermore, the entertainer took a dig at former Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, suggesting that the latest revelation about Tinubu’s age would pose a challenge for the All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in shaping the narrative around his political ally.
