Capitol Hill Stabbing Injures 1, Arrests 1


Thursday night, a 42-year-old man was detained in Capitol Hill for stabbing another man.

The police arrived to the 1700 block of Bellevue Avenue at approximately 10:45 p.m. after receiving allegations of a stabbing. Officers discovered a 42-year-old man with multiple stab wounds and administered first aid. The Seattle Fire Department subsequently transported the man to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition after taking over his care.

According to witnesses, the victim was stabbed by the male suspect during a physical altercation with a man and a woman. According to reports, the suspects retreated to a nearby apartment building and refused to leave.

Police encircled the suspect unit. The male suspect surrendered while officers were preparing to execute a warrant at the residence. Officers searched the apartment but were unable to locate the woman inside.

The man was brought into the King County Jail for assault.
