Cabinet praises State Capture arrests

Cabinet has lauded the latest arrests and freezing of assets of alleged state capture associates.
“These events demonstrate that the work of the Judicial Commission of Inquiry into Allegations of State Capture, Corruption, and Fraud in the Public Sector, Including Organs of State, is now bearing fruit,” said Minister in The Presidency Mondli Gungubele on Thursday.
Gungubele, briefing the public on the outcomes of the Cabinet meeting held on Wednesday, reaffirmed the government’s determination to aggressively combat all instances of corruption without fear, favor, or bias.
“Corrupt individuals and those who steal our children’s future have no place in our society,” stated Gungubele.
Cabinet advised residents to report all instances of corruption to law enforcement agencies or phone 0800 701 701. “Callers have the option of remaining anonymous,” the Minister stated.
Launch of the 4IR micro-laboratory is applauded
Cabinet applauded the official opening of a 4IR micro-laboratory at the Goldfields Technical and Vocational Education and Training College in Welkom, Free State.
The introduction of the micro-laboratory on 10 November 2022, according to Gungubele, helps to the development of skills, creativity, and entrepreneurship so that the nation may “offer new, better, and faster answers to our challenges of poverty, inequality, and unemployment.”
