Vitzhi Mentor, former ActionSA Western Cape chair and State Capture exposer, dies

Former ActionSA Western Cape chair and State Capture exposer Vitzhi Mentor passed away, the party said in a statement on Tuesday.

Herman Mashab, the party’s head, said that Mentor had been unwell for a while.

Her family informed us this morning that she passed away from her sickness after spending months in the hospital.

The teacher was one of the sources on the 2016 state capture.

She raised concern about the Gupta family’s potential power over former president Jacob Zuma.

According to the statement, Vytjie Mentor was the first to voice reservations about the State Capture Commission of Inquiry as it is currently called.

The teacher served in the ANC parliament from 2002 to 2014.

She served as the ANC faction’s head from 2004 until 2008.

Mentor oversaw the portfolio committee for public enterprises from 2009 to 2010.

Our sincere sympathies go out to Teacher Vytjie’s family, friends, and the ActionSA community.

Vytjie was instrumental in the establishment and growth of ActionSA in the Western Cape. She leaves behind a lasting impression.

Let Howie rest in peace.
