In the international music scene, Burna Boy is well-known for promoting and popularising Nigerian music.

The BET announced the nominees for the forthcoming BET Hip Hop Awards on September 8, 2023, when Burna Boy made a significant and unexpected showing.

‘Sitting On Top Of The World,’ which features 21 Savage, received nominations for Song of the Year and Hip Hop Artist of the Year, among other honours.

The performer, who just put out his seventh album called “I Told Them,” has received nominations for a number of honours, including Best Lyricist of the Year, Best Collaboration, Best Live Performer, Best Hip-Hop Video, and Hustler of the Year.

With 12 nominations each, Cardi B and 21 Savage are in first place, followed by Drake with nine nominations, Burna Boy with seven nominations, and DJ Khalid with seven nominations.

The 2023 BET Awards will be broadcast on BET at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Tuesday, October 10, one week after they are taped in Atlanta on Tuesday, October 3.
