On Monday, when Queen Elizabeth’s casket traveled from her funeral service at Westminster Abbey to her final resting place at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, Buckingham Palace employees lined up to pay their respects.

Carl Court, a photographer for Getty Photographs, caught striking images of members of the royal household’s personnel paying tribute to their late boss during the burial procession. Some employees appeared in black burial attire, while others wore their job uniforms.

Buckingham Palace serves as the administrative seat of the monarchy. It includes 19 State rooms, 52 bedrooms, 188 staff bedrooms, 92 offices, and 78 baths. According to Hannah Beckler and Mikhaila Friel of Insider, there are around 1,133 employee, volunteer, and ceremonial positions within the monarchy, often known as “the company.”
