Bryan Cranston tags Donald Trump’s slogan as racist

Actor Bryan Cranston, known for his role in “Breaking Bad,” has stated his belief that the phrase “Make America Great Again” used by former President Donald Trump and his supporters is racist.

In an interview with CNN’s Chris Wallace while promoting the upcoming season of his show “Your Honor,” Cranston explained that the phrase is prejudiced because there was never a time when America was great for African Americans.

He uses the question to open up conversations with people, broaden their perspectives, and recognize their privilege.

The discussion with Wallace also touched on Cranston’s recent appearance on Bill Maher’s podcast, where they discussed critical race theory (CRT) and whether it should be taught in schools.

Despite his disagreement with Maher’s characterization of their conversation as a “tussle,” Cranston maintained his belief that the U.S. has not fully taken responsibility for its history of slavery and the mistreatment of minorities.

He argued that teaching critical race theory is essential to examine how race, racism, and the slave trade have affected government and social activities.

Critical race theory is a controversial topic that has been heavily debated, with supporters believing that it provides a more truthful version of history, including its most reprehensible parts.

Meanwhile, those on the right argue that it teaches children to “hate America” and have banned it in some states, including Florida, where Governor Ron DeSantis passed the “Stop WOKE Act” in 2022.
