Bruce Maurice Henry identified as doctor whose throat was slit in New York City park

The pediatrician whose neck was cut and found in a park in Manhattan has been named as Bruce Maurice Henry, 60, of The Bronx.

The NYPD did not provide additional information or a suspected reason for the brutal murder.

Police stated, “The inquiry is underway.”

Henry’s body was discovered Friday morning. According to accounts, in addition to having his neck slashed, the doctor had been stabbed many times.

At 2:15 a.m., the doctor was found disoriented and lifeless on a staircase near 120th Street in Marcus Garvey Park in Manhattan, according to police and sources.

The victim, a Spuyten Duyvil resident, was pronounced dead at the site soon before 3 a.m. by EMS.
