The 40-year-old pop star revealed on Instagram on Monday that she had chopped off her blonde hair but kept the new do hidden under a pink hat.
She recently regained control of her multimillion-dollar fortune and various aspects of her life after a conservatorship that had been overseen by her family for 13 years was terminated.
She posted a video of herself standing topless on the beach and commented on Instagram, “I chopped all my hair off… [Scissors emoji] I don’t want to reveal it just yet.
The “Baby One More Time” singer could be seen striking various poses on the sand as she covered her breasts with her hands and appeared to be sunburned in the new post. The “Baby One More Time” hitmaker married actor Sam Asghari, 28, back in June but has sons Sean, 17, and Jayden, 16, with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
The “Lucky” songstress, who has become known for posting risqué selfies on the social media app since being released from her conservatorship, debuted her new look just weeks after her youngest son accused her of using her naked posts to garner “attention” after it was suggested that her children had stopped visiting her because they were “embarrassed” by their mother’s online profile.
“It almost seems like mom needs to publish something to garner attention,” the son remarked. This has been going on for years and years, and it very well may never end.
Only a few days later, Britney refused to apologize for her Instagram photos, saying it was “frightening” that her kids had decided not to see her.
