Britain’s worst family responsible for third killer

The third murderer convicted comes from the same irresponsible family, which has been called one of Britain’s worst.

The judge who sentenced him called him a “remorseless assassin.”

Ryan Kirkpatrick, 25, was fatally stabbed at least six times during the masked assault, which was carried out by Kane Hull, 29, who grinned as he was sentenced today to life in prison with a minimum term of 28 years.

Raymond Hull, from Carlisle, Cumbria, is the father of Hull and is a career criminal who has fathered 22 children with 11 different women. It is estimated that he has claimed at least £1.2 million in benefits.

The 67-year-old, who has more than 30 prior convictions, was given a suspended sentence for the death of 90-year-old Leslie Todd through reckless driving two years ago.

In the late 1990s, one of his other kids was found guilty of killing his babysitter.

Kane Hull, who has 35 prior offenses on his record, including three violent assaults, attacked Mr. Kirkpatrick with accomplice Liam Porter, 33, who was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum of 26 years, according to evidence presented at Carlisle Crown Court.

The 24-year-old victim’s relatives and friends yelled “cowards” as the two men were brought away as they smiled to pals as they approached the dock for a sentence on Tuesday.

The court heard how Hull and Porter used a glass to strike Mr. Kirkpatrick, with whom they had a protracted dispute, but he managed to flee.

The two left for home, changed into disguises that included masks, and then came back a short while later. With a six-inch knife, Hull attacked Mr. Kirkpatrick, severing the major pulmonary artery and piercing his lung and liver.

He took off his disguise in the midst of the assault in the heart of Carlisle on September 18 of last year so that Mr. Kirkpatrick would recognize him.

Ryan Kirkpatrick was two days away from his 25th birthday when he was slain by you, Mr. Justice Linden said to Hull at sentencing. Nothing he had done had earned this.

“This event, which lasted up to 30 seconds and was akin to an execution, was committed by you as an assassin.”

Leading counsel described what you did with the adjectives “vicious,” “callous,” and “cowardly,” but I don’t believe it goes far enough.

The phrase “futile” should be included to highlight the pointlessness of what you did, which only served to make the Kirkpatrick family miserable and destroy your own life.

The court said Porter did nothing to halt the assault and instead “discouraged others from interfering” despite knowing Hull was carrying a knife and was a violent guy. In a statement presented to the court, Ryan’s mother, Andrea Johnson, said Hull’s threats caused her son to go out for the first time in a while.

After assaulting Mr. Kirkpatrick at a betting shop in 2017, Hull was previously sentenced to 21 months in prison for affray and weapon possession.

Hull was previously imprisoned when he was 15 years old for stabbing a guy seven times in an alleyway, severing his liver, and slashing open his stomach.

Police prevented Miss Johnson from getting near to her son as he lay dying, and she recounted the misery of missing out on being at his side as doctors battled to rescue him.

‘I begged to be at Ryan’s side as he needed me more than any other moment in his life,’ the mother of three claimed after being denied access to the cordon. According to testimony given in court, Hull and Porter, both of Carlisle, left the site within an hour, set fire to the Volvo S40 they were driving, and then crossed the Irish Sea in another automobile after traveling to Scotland. Ten days later, in a home in County Mayo where Hull was hiding in the loft, they were found.

Both refused extradition, thus it required the combined efforts of the police departments in all four nations to bring them both to justice.

60 detectives have been allocated to the investigation, according to Det Chief Supt Mick Bird of the Cumbria Police. The streets of Carlisle are much safer without someone like Kane Hull on them, he said. Among the other sons of patriarch Raymond Hull, Adrian, now 42, spent 17 years in prison after being convicted of killing his former babysitter in a “merciless and lengthy” assault. In 2014, he was freed.

Before dumping Nicky Morrison’s corpse over a bridge as an 18-year-old, Adrian Hull kicked him at least 14 times in the head with such force that his skull rebounded off a concrete walkway.

And another brother, the cruel 32-year-old Leon Hull, who was sentenced to four years, eight months in prison in March 2020 for a terrible attack, will soon be released from custody.

Leon, another male, and a 17-year-old child battered and set on fire the victim, and they “took joy” in photographing the crime on their cellphones.

Previously, when he was 18 years old, Leon Hull was sentenced to four and a half years in prison for an armed robbery.

Due to his intentional GBH, he was sentenced to prison in 2020.

John Michael Hull, the 47-year-old eldest child of Raymond Hull, has served prison time for witness intimidation and hurling a bottle at a man.

Raymond Hull of Aspatria, Cumbria, avoided prison for causing a fatality by reckless driving and was given an 18-month suspended sentence for drug distribution in 2014 after stating he had to take care of his youngest boys.
