He has a master’s in accounting, finance, and management.

After losing his position as an accountant, Shaw promoted himself as a masseur.

In April of 2020, when she requested a two-hour full-body massage, he traveled to the woman’s residence.

The wife requested that the service focus on her lower legs, arms, and hands when the father came.

She instantly observed that he lacked skill as a masseur, but she refrained from commenting out of concern for him.

The woman feared for her safety when Shaw rubbed her buttocks, thighs, and hips, so she requested that he massage her elsewhere.

Additionally, he groped her vagina, including while she was undressed.

When instructed to stop by the woman, he promptly ceased the inappropriate contact, according to testimony presented in court.

During a phone call organized by the police following the sexual assault, Shaw denied any involvement but apologized for any discomfort or offense he caused.

After the woman testified during a committal hearing prior to entering a guilty plea, he was scheduled to stand trial.

The court heard that Shaw travelled from India to study in Australia in 2008, before gaining Australian citizenship around a decade later.

Judge Ken Barlow of the Brisbane District Court stated that Shaw had no criminal record and had sent a letter of apology to the woman, who had expected a professional masseuse to deliver services in her home in a safe and polite manner.

During sentence, he informed Shaw, “I’ve read several references that indicate you are highly valued by friends and coworkers.”

In his past, he volunteered at a charity for disabled individuals.

Judge Barlow said, “What you did on this occasion appears to be out of character, yet it was a serious offense.”

Sexual assault, whether or not it involves force, is always a terrible offense.

Shaw has returned to work as a certified public accountant while his pregnant wife cares for their two-year-old kid.

Shaw was sentenced to six months in prison, suspended for one year, by Judge Barlow.
