31-year-old sex monster imprisoned for impersonating Tyson Fury’s cousin

A “monster” who attempted to woo and abuse women by posing as Tyson Fury’s cousin was sentenced to 27 years in prison.

David Overton, 31, rebranded himself as ‘Davy Fury,’ a promising heavyweight boxer, and was found guilty of 25 offenses, several of which were sex crimes.

After giving up his prior false image as a multimillionaire wheeler-dealer modeled after Leonardo Di Caprio’s character in the movie Wolf of Wall Street, Overton started having violent encounters with three victims.

The most recent victims of Overton’s sway were first enamored with him, but after taking control of their life, he repeatedly forced himself on them using his size and intimidation, according to testimony given in court.

Overton, also known as David Fury-Walsh, repeatedly assaulted three women and portrayed himself as a “caring and giving guy” while doing these crimes.

Sex monster, 31, who pretended to be Tyson Fury's cousin to seduce women is jailed for 27 years

One victim was subjected to terrible sex ordeals before he seized control of her interactions with others, stole her money, and even forced her to consume human waste and record herself drinking pee.

Following a charity event, one victim was sexually assaulted at a hotel, and the third was coerced into having sex with Overton after he headbutted her.

According to the police, he was in charge of the women’s money, taking out loans in their names and coercing them into turning up their funds under the pretense of a significant return that never materialized.

In a statement to Chester Crown Court, one of the victims, a wealthy businesswoman, said: “David viewed himself at first as a persona inspired by the Wolf of Wall Street, but then he developed this new Fury identity.

The worst thing I have ever gone through is what this guy had me go through. In exchange for my money, he exploited me to fulfill some horrible, twisted desire.

“The physical scars may heal, but the psychological ones will never.” He still looms over me, all 6’5″ of him, even while I’m sleeping.

According to her, Overton was a “monster in size and nature” who had caused her to have flashbacks. She said the assault was so severe and had such a long-lasting effect that “sometimes I wish he did kill me.”

“This guy has no concern for either people or animals; he is not Tyson Fury.” His next victim could not be as fortunate, she warned.

Another victim described how she had to alter her hairdo to “hide the permanent forehead scar that David gave me” with her fringe.

The victim said, “I used to be such an extrovert, but now I am the exact opposite.”

I can’t even count on my fingers how many times he threatened to kill guys, my family, and friends, according to the third lady, a police officer.

“When he indicated he would require a corpse bag and a cleaning team to come to my address, I was really afraid,” she added.

She said before the court that Overton would scream, yell, and punch at her, adding that she would “get warned off for flinching” during the alleged attacks.

The lady said that Overton’s violent conduct had “influenced” her dog, who “will require training to alter his behavior.”

When one of the victims went to Cheshire Police in September 2021, the Overton investigation got under way.

Within hours of the allegation, he was detained, and two other women had the bravery to come forward and say they had also been the targets of his aggressive and domineering behavior.

Despite Overton’s denials on all counts, a jury at Chester Crown Court found him guilty after a four-week trial.

He was found guilty of 25 offenses, including 13 charges of rape, 4 counts of sexual assault, 3 counts of coercive behavior, 3 counts of serious bodily injury, 1 case of sexual contact, and 2 counts of weapon possession.

He will have a license after leaving prison that lasts until 2056.

He was said to have nine distinct identities and 13 prior dishonesty offenses on his record.

Sentencing He was reprimanded by Judge Michael Leeming for treating the three ladies who had welcomed him into their life with continued abuse and violence. Although you acknowledged being a control freak, you said you had always appreciated women.

However, these weren’t considerate behaviors, and based on your comments, these ladies couldn’t compete with you. If it weren’t for your connections with them, the trust, confidence, and faith that these victims formerly felt in human nature would not have been harmed.

“You do exhibit blatant narcissistic traits, and you lie compulsively.” Women and any future women you have connections with are at serious danger from you.

According to testimony given in court, Overton made up his relation to the boxing champion in order to attract ladies.

After using steroids to bulk up at the gym, getting a facial tattoo, shaving his head, and dying his ginger beard black, he adopted the alias David Fury-Walsh.

Overton appeared in social media interviews on boxing websites as part of his false claims to be a cousin of Fury, where he spoke of “working for his ambition.”

One described how he had “worked from the age of thirteen to support his siblings, then gone down the wrong route into incarceration,” before starting on the “journey to rehabilitation and with glory in his eyes.”

He also claimed to have been an enforcer by a drug group and to have come from a rough traveling neighborhood in Salford, Greater Manchester, to his victims.

After serving a three-year sentence for handling illegal money, Overton said he was pledging to live a moral life, Chester Crown Court was informed.

However, the 6-foot-5 con artist really grew up in a council home in Congleton, Cheshire.

His most recent image change came after he was found guilty of fraud in connection with a scam in which he convinced a trusting young lady to deposit £1,000 in his company in exchange for a nonexistent finance position paying £20,000 per year.

The conman represented himself at the time as a multi-millionaire billionaire with a main office in Canary Wharf and a £1.4 billion fund.

Eventually, Overton’s mother discredited his claims that he was Fury’s cousin.

“He seems to have been entertaining and outrageously giving to start, but also quickly revealed other darker qualities, and was not honest about his past, including playing on suspected ties to Tyson Fury,” prosecutor David Polglase said during the trial.

He exhibited forceful, domineering, aggressive, and sexually offensive behavior. All three victims remember having intercourse that was, at best, based on consent or submission and, at worst, on violence, fear, or force.

“The defendant is an aggressive and cunning bully,” he said. He is a person who needs to be in charge of a circumstance. He enjoys fantasy. He’s a guy who likes to do things his way.

He’s a guy who won’t accept “no” as an answer. The three complainants in this case have proved him to be that sort of guy, without regard for women.

William Staunton, Overton’s attorney, declared: “He is not a psychopath, but a troubled guy.” At the time, he was using steroids, which had an impact on his capacity to restrain his emotions.
