Brian Daboll employs son Christian as Giants offensive assistant

Coming off a playoff appearance and Brian Daboll’s Coach of the Year award, the Giants concluded that more Dabolls were better.

The Post has reported that the Giants have hired Christian Daboll as an entry-level offensive assistant on the coaching staff. Christian Daboll’s name was been added to the website’s coaches section.

It is not uncommon for prominent NFL teams to employ family, including father-son duos. Kevin Wilkins is the younger brother of Drew Wilkins, the outside linebackers coach for the Giants.

His father informed Giants.com that the younger Daboll has been a student coach at Penn State for the past three and a half years, working up to the responsibility of calling the plays. When the Giants played on Thanksgiving, Brian paid Christian a visit when he and other players and student assistants were honored on Penn State’s Senior Day over the Thanksgiving weekend.

Daboll quipped upon his arrival with the Giants that his kid had “not a bad word” to say about Saquon Barkley, a Penn State alum and Giants running back.

Cornerback Joey Porter Jr., a first-round lock, safety Ji’ayir Brown, tight end Brenton Strange, and center Juice Scruggs are Penn State’s best draft prospects in 2023.

Beth and Daboll are the parents of six children.
