A 27-year-old woman from São Paulo, Brazil, Marília Barrionuevo, started getting tattoos at 14 years old and has roughly covered 50% of her body in ink, piercings, and body modifications.
Barrionuevo, who is a former body piercer and plastic artist, has had her ears stretched and pointed, and wants to do more body modifications, including tongue splitting and redoing cheek piercings.
She is also keen on doing body suspension, an intense body modification in which a person is suspended from large-gauge hooks placed through temporary body piercings.
Although she admits that some of her tattoos were incredibly painful, she says she loves them and wants to get more, saying that the more tattoos she has, the more she wants to fill in the blank spaces.
Despite being a mum with tattoos, Barrionuevo says she has never experienced judgment from people, but admits she gets a lot of attention from strangers, who stare at her and her baby.
She, however, remains unbothered and only cares about keeping her loved ones happy and healthy, all while staying true to herself.
Although she admits to having thick skin and ignoring haters, she encourages people to “be your authentic self.”
