Yesterday, a man’s watch was snatched from his wrist outside a posh Mayfair restaurant, as seen on surveillance footage. The burglar followed the victim before snatching the timepiece and running.
The newest occurrence follows an alarming increase in violent thefts in the city.

This is the frightening moment a man’s watch is taken from his wrist while he waits outside a posh Mayfair restaurant in broad daylight.

The customer, who has not been identified, was entering Sexy Fish in Berkeley Square, London, on Tuesday evening when his watch was stolen by a robber in full view of passersby.

In the camera footage, a figure wearing a fedora and black jacket approaches the man as he is about to enter the place while following him.

After a brief fight, he rushes away with the watch while the stunned restaurant patron pursues him down the street. The Metropolitan Police has been approached by MailOnline for comment.

The incident follows a spate of audacious robberies in the capital of the “Wild West” in which luxury timepieces were targeted by thieves operating in broad daylight.

A robber disguised as a Deliveroo driver was captured on film last week wrecking a £3 million Bugatti Chiron with a hammer in an attempt to steal a £110,000 Rolex from a Kuwaiti playboy.

The same day in Chelsea, west London, an elderly woman armed with a stick confronted masked knifemen who had stolen a £60,000 Rolex from a woman in the street.

Recent criminal activity has caused police officials to acknowledge an uptick in street robberies.

Some social media users have aimed the finger straight at Sadiq Khan, the mayor of London, accusing him of failing to control knife crime and street robberies.

The unidentified customer was entering Sexy Fish in Berkeley Square, London, on Tuesday evening when his watch was stolen by a robber in full view of customers standing outside.

The victim is then observed sprinting down the sidewalk after the thief.

A cyclist wearing a Deliveroo uniform was captured on camera on Park Lane near Hyde Park Corner in Mayfair, stopping in traffic and smashing a Bugatti Chiron’s window with a hammer on August 22.

They then appear to strike the vehicle multiple times before the supercar speeds away and the robber is unable to make off with the goods.

A second rider, also wearing a Deliveroo uniform, follows the thief as he flees the scene.

After the attempted theft, Mr. Al Basman is seen being assisted from his damaged sports car.

The Kuwaiti playboy staying at the Berkeley Hotel is said to have been targeted after uploading images of his supercars and pricey watches on social media.

A witness stated, “This morning, the moped thieves were at the hotel, where they were instructed to move off the sidewalk.”

“When Abdullah fled in the Bugatti, they began to pursue him until Hyde Park Corner.” One vehicle beeped its horn, which I suppose was the cue to begin the assault.

I assume that they waited for a junction that they knew would have a lengthy red light so that they would have time to attack.

Two robbers wearing hoods, balaclavas, and dark clothing were photographed on the same day ambushing a woman in her 30s and a man in his 40s as they walked through a calm street in Chelsea, west London.

A Deliveroo-clad cyclist is spotted bashing a £3 million Bugatti vehicle with a hammer.

Last week, video shows a motorcyclist halting in traffic and crushing the passenger side of a sports car with a hammer on Hyde Park Corner in Mayfair.

A courageous elderly woman armed herself with a stick to assist in confronting masked knifemen who had stolen a £60,000 Rolex from a woman in Chelsea, west London.

In new camera footage obtained by MailOnline, one of the perpetrators is seen grappling with the female victim as she lies in a Pond Place doorway.

In the video, the victim’s male companion can be seen struggling to beat off the muggers while an elderly woman arrives with a broom and waves it at the fleeing automobile.

Shabs Ahmad, in response to a video posted on Instagram, warned Sadiq Khan that he will have ‘blood on his hands’ if he does not act to stem the tide of violent crime sweeping London.

He asked Sadiq Khan, “Are you seeing this s***, buddy?” And you’re too preoccupied with enlarging the ULEZ?

“Figure it out. As previously stated, you will have blood on your hands.

This individual may have easily been stabbed.

He continued, “All I’m saying is that I believe we all need to be prepared for them because nobody’s taking my s***.”

Omid Scobie, a royal biographer, adds, “Another day, another watch theft in London.” Sadiq Khan is doing little while criminals continue to dominate the city.

“After recently being robbed in Mayfair, I will never again wear a watch in public, and I recommend you do the same.”

Detective Chief Superintendent Owain Richards, who is in charge of policing Westminster, Hammersmith and Fulham, and Kensington and Chelsea, stated, ‘In Central West BCU, we have seen an increase in these types of robberies in recent weeks, as criminals take advantage of the longer days and busier streets. We are aware that comparable increases have occurred in other city neighborhoods.

“We want London residents and visitors to be able to enjoy our city without fear of theft; no one should have to live in constant dread.”

We are aware of the impact these crimes have on each and every victim, which is why we have deployed additional officers in areas where they are most prevalent. This includes members of specialized units, such as our Operation Venice squads.

We are also reminding people to be alert of their surroundings and, whenever feasible, to conceal their valuables.
