Yesterday, a man’s watch was snatched from his wrist outside a posh Mayfair restaurant, as seen on surveillance footage. The burglar followed the victim before snatching the timepiece and running.
The newest occurrence follows an alarming increase in violent thefts in the city.

This is the frightening moment a man’s watch is taken from his wrist while he waits outside a posh Mayfair restaurant in broad daylight.

The customer, who has not been identified, was entering Sexy Fish in Berkeley Square, London, on Tuesday evening when his watch was stolen by a robber in full view of passersby.

In the camera footage, a figure wearing a fedora and black jacket approaches the man as he is about to enter the place while following him.

After a brief fight, he rushes away with the watch while the stunned restaurant patron pursues him down the street. The Metropolitan Police has been approached by MailOnline for comment.

They then appear to strike the vehicle multiple times before the supercar speeds away and the robber is unable to make off with the goods.

A second rider, also wearing a Deliveroo uniform, follows the thief as he flees the scene.

After the attempted theft, Mr. Al Basman is seen being assisted from his damaged sports car.

The Kuwaiti playboy staying at the Berkeley Hotel is said to have been targeted after uploading images of his supercars and pricey watches on social media.

A witness stated, “This morning, the moped thieves were at the hotel, where they were instructed to move off the sidewalk.”

Detective Chief Superintendent Owain Richards, who is in charge of policing Westminster, Hammersmith and Fulham, and Kensington and Chelsea, stated, ‘In Central West BCU, we have seen an increase in these types of robberies in recent weeks, as criminals take advantage of the longer days and busier streets. We are aware that comparable increases have occurred in other city neighborhoods.

“We want London residents and visitors to be able to enjoy our city without fear of theft; no one should have to live in constant dread.”
