Braai Day Rump Steak Recipe

Braai Day Rump Steak Recipe

On a Saturday, the aroma of a braai, either your own or that of a neighbour, permeates your yard as you stroll about. You get a kick out of being among people you care about while they do what they do best—gather together over food, drink, and conversation. On Heritage Day, we recommend serving these National Braai Day rump steaks since there’s simply nothing like a proudly South African braai day.

Your steaks will be the talk of the party both while they are on the grill and after they have been removed.

Braai Day rump steak tips

You may expect the braaimaster to handle the grilling responsibilities if you’re familiar with South African braais. When they are fresh off the grill, you’ll be over the moon. While soy and Worcestershire sauces are fantastic for flavour, it’s important to watch the salt content. If you cook your steak to medium rare, the outside will be a gorgeous brown colour and the inside will be juicy and red.

We really like the rump steaks that are native to South Africa. You can’t celebrate Heritage Day without trying this rump steak recipe.
